But I'm afraid they might be struggling with hair and transparencies as the game has a lot of both that were initially built without PT in mind. Hair in the early PT trailer did not look so hot (ignore other LoD and asset differences. Different builds. The final game is closer to the Nvidia version on those aspects)

This, at times the trailer for MW4 felt like watching a Mission Impossible movie.It's great to see CoD finding its rhythm. The color palette, lighting and photogrammetry look impressive, especially in France sequences and Korean market in the trailer. The increase in character polygons, especially for Captain Price, looks great also.
To be fair, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, and Guerilla games has not released a current gen only game this entire generation. We can all agree those are the 3 Playstation studios that push the hardware the mostat this point, its 50:50. if you look at how every single sony studio this gen has delivered cross gen looking games then there is no reason to assume that will change.
but interstellar and this faye game is literally coming out in the last year of this gen and might even be cross gen with ps6 so who knows.
im hoping they at the very least go back to big setpieces and the game should be about giants vs norse gods so there is potential for a far more epic game than the more grounded gow reboots. troy baker said intergallactic is their most ambitious game yet so maybe in terms of gameplay, they will be ambitious.

Yeah, the reflections would look better, but the geometry of the mini-island type mountains in the water and I don't know, the general look of the scene I pointed out is so underwhelming.It'll fix the SSR and you'll get better shadowing, but yeah, it's not going to get anywhere close to the prerendered bit they had in the announcement trailer. That stuff never existed in the game. Hate it when they put those up as "screenshots" on the storefront even as of now. It's so misleading. And if you question them, they'd point to the "in-engine sequences" disclaimer. "In-engine" is just a new euphemism for bullshot.

It is indeed incredibile.I mean, I play GOW3 on PS5 right now and even fucking red orbs are emitting lighting on the environment + weapons and attacks. It's quite fucking incredible for a PS3 game.
They gutted this system in Ascension, I was very disappointed with this game from visual perspective.
Yotei was 100% graphical disappointment there should be no argument on that one. Other than the rather innefectual rtgi compared to most other studios implementation of it, the assets were basically exactly the same as Tsushima. I don't disagree. My only point was that Ghost of Tsushima is not a graphical powerhouse either. It is a great looking game because of its art direction. Given that this was ps5 exclusive they managed to release a glorified ps4 looking game on the level of something like gow 2018> ragnarok. Now THAT is impressive.
