Gravity Rush is worth checking out, especially with the Vita being so quiet since launch, and as the system's library fills, this title will still stand out as something uniquely charming. However, one must be honest about the questionable design decisions that lets the whole thing down on a dismayingly consistent basis. Gravity Rush has everything it needs to be something great, but it takes all the wrong forks in the road and ends up rather unfulfilling. It's a real shame, too, because you it's so clear how brilliant it truly could have been.

Reviewing Gravity Rush is a battle between my heart and my head. I love Kat and totally dig most of the superhero story, but the cumbersome combat in latter missions definitely had me cursing at my handheld. Still, if you're looking for a lite JRPG or cool comic game, you should dig Gravity Rush despite its flaws. Just don't expect it to justify purchasing your Vita.

Despite a few lengthy load times, a terrible name and an unimaginative character introduction, Gravity Rush quickly became a very enjoyable game indeed. It doesn't feel like a typical handheld title, either: Gravity Rush has the depth, length and graphical prowess of something you'd see on consoles. The mission-based structure is great for portable play and the story is worth the investment despite the many unanswered questions. It's easily the best experience I've had on the Vita thus far.

Gravity Rush is definitely a game worth your time, especially if you’re a Vita owner looking for something new. Even if this came out alongside dozens of triple-A Vita games, we would recommend Gravity Rush for its unique gameplay, its beautiful presentation, and its protagonist’s adorable charm. There are a few things that hold this back from being a mega hit—including boring combat and some occasional glitches—but Gravity Rush is a thrilling experience.
Game Informer - 8/10
Kat’s gravity-shifting powers are the star of the show in Gravity Rush, as the story struggles to maintain focus. Characters are constantly introduced and dismissed throughout the narrative, leaving you wondering who’s important and who’s disposable. Despite this, the upgrade system and gravity mechanic kept me engaged throughout the adventure.
Games Radar - 9/10
With a nondescript name like Gravity Rush, you wouldn’t be the first to mistake this game for a low-budget title worth skipping. But it’d be a crime to overlook – this adventure has such a vibrant world, exhilarating gameplay systems, and a delightful narrative that it deserves a spot in every Vita owner’s library. It’s the kind of game that wouldn’t exist on any other platform, and honestly, it’s so perfect for the medium that it wouldn’t need to.

Kat's ascent to the height of herodom takes place within a beautiful, anime/European world, as just part of a fascinatingly ambiguous, deep, and somehow simultaneously fun storyline. When I had completed Gravity Rush, I wanted nothing more than to play more Gravity Rush, which, thankfully, I could do. There are still so many gems to find, on so many walls I haven't smashed into.
PlayStation Official Magazine UK - 9/10
Kat is the perfect, charmingly reluctant heroine, and stylish, interactive cut-scenes reveal her to be endearing and smart-talking. Sharp characters and an utterly bonkers narrative combine with gorgeous visuals to create a wholly unique experience, and this is the thrilling and magical adventure that you and your Vita deserve.
PlayStation LifeStyle - 9/10
Gravity Rush has so many strengths, so few weaknesses, and is such a unique title, that it deserves some form of attention from every gamer. The premise and gameplay are so unique that we, as gamers, should reward and encourage this kind of creativity in our industry. It’s not a perfect game, but no game has to be. Playing Gravity Rush delivers sensations that I haven’t felt in years, and it’s truly unrivaled in providing this exact type of fun. Believe the hype. Gravity Rush is a game like no other.

If you're drawn to games by the satisfaction offered by their simplest mechanics, Gravity Daze is a total delight. You can spin between rooftops and freeze yourself in mid-air; you can drop from the sky and never hit the ground.
EGM - 9.5/10
Gravity Rush isn’t just the best game to grace the Vita—it’s also one of the best games I’ve played in some time, no matter the system. In so many ways, it shines with a beauty that so many games can never achieve, and it’s an experience you’ll absolutely not want to miss.
