GT5 News - Nurburgring update (pre-E3 edition)

Those old rumors about using our Home avatar in the game initially seemed far fetched to me but these in game driver models look even more detailed than my Home dude.

I don't think that we're going to be able to use Home avatars in game. But it seems possible that we'll be able to customize our drivers like in Tourist Trophy. This Loeb clip is the first time that we've seen a driver wearing non Sparco gear. So they've at least got two racing gear manufacturers licensed that they could use for selecting racing gear.

This game has been in development forever. How exactly does Polyphony survive as a company??? Are they a skeleton crew of like 20-30 guys or something??
Prologue alone sold more than 4.5 M worldwide so they have quite some leeway.

GT5P went from 4.17 roughly 2.5 months ago to 4.65 about 2 weeks ago. GT4 sales have increased as well. The franchise has super long tracks when it comes to sales.

i like the dashboard view but i suck at it :(

It doesn't seem like you're alone. I think I saw one or two people using the cockpit view in the GT Academy vids, most others were using the standard bumper camera.

By selling over like 9-15 million copies of each GT title, and selling something like 4.5m copies of GT5P this generation. Kaz said GT5 has cost 60 million, Prologue itself even with it's costs to branch it off/make and package has probably paid for all of if not a large chunk of GT5.

I can't use the cockpit view, the dash, wheel and hands steels my attention. Bumper all the way.

I missed out on that wheel deal... damn.

Visit your local store if you have one. People on slickdeals were saying the retail stores were selling them for $150 as well. No idea why they're effectively clearancing them however.

Guys is the GT logitech wheel good as well, since its only 60 pounds

The Driving Force GT? It's quite a good wheel, but the pedals aren't very good and it only has the sequential shifter. It has "paddle" shifters behind the wheel, but they're small buttons that are on the back of the wheel itself.

I cannot for the life of me play a racing game with a wheel.

Aside from Mario Kart ><

After playing the GT5 TT with a wheel it's really hard to go back to a controller. It's worth getting used to.

When I saw SC430 replay on Fuji and thought it does look difference from what I played GT5P.
