GT5 CES 2010 Replay YellowHat Supra GT500 Fuji with sound

Thank God they added in more stylish cameras. It was looking super boring before. I hated the super wide and slow cameras. Love the zooming/panning action in this replay. Gives it a nice sense of speed.

Whats going on with the lack of slip streaming in the recent videos?
Wouldn´t worry to much about that. PD made it work pretty well in GT PSP, I find it hard to believe they would fuck it up in GT5.

Nice!

It just seems to be non existent in the recent videos. I don't know if its been toned down or if it's completely off in the CES demo's.

Kaz has said he's angry when a game is released....at the things he "should have put in""...Just hope he's not moving the goal posts around too much with this one.

He mentioned that he's always a little relieved and also angry when releasing any of their games. He's a perfectionist so he's never going to be entirely happy.

That's from the psm3 interview, right? I wonder what it is he wanted to include but didn't.

And why should that be our problem?
I'll be just happy when the game is released.
You can always update the game if needed, and we can al;ways find something to bitch about.
Release already! :D

GT5:P had a very high focus on slipstreaming, perhaps a bit too much, i wouldnt be surprised if its been reduced.

In the GT academy finals version of GT5 slipstreaming was still a bit over emphasized.

id rather have it off than it to be like in prologue

Slipstreaming is working in the Supra video. The Supra just can't overtake the Lexus because it has to brake to make the turn. It just doesn't seem to be as overdone as in the GT Academy.

There is slip streaming in that video and it looks like it's actually done right. The slip stream in prologue was way over the top. I remember the 750pp online suzuka races where you could reel in drivers slower than yourself at 2+ seconds a lap but when you pass them you could not get away. They would just use the slipstream to stay glued to you in the corners and depending on how much straght line speed they had they would just retake the postion on the straights. It became extremely annoying to a point where winning races came down to just following the leader for the whole race and passing him on the final sprint to the finish line. This is the main reason why I hate racing at Fuji, after spending hours tuning your car and getting the perfect setup, finally getting a competitive lap time only to lose to someone because of the ott slip stream.

Wasn't slipstreaming introduced in GT4?

Nah.

Afaik, the effect was quite strong. You really got sucked towards the other car. I can also remember having a much longer braking distance while approaching a corner behind another car.

Pretty much what I saw in the vid

I wonder if they have tons of data from online psn races to see how humans drive. Something built from data from these 'ghosts' would be far better in my opinion.

Took another look at the Supra vid and it is there. They really have toned it down from GT5P and the TT, which makes me very happy.

Viper ACR on Indy

It's interesting that with other cars he's struggled to make it into first place, but with the ACR he makes it to first near the start of the second lap. That thing is a beast.

Awesome, I've been waiting for a video with this car. Not surprising though. The Viper ACR has the third fastest lap time on the 20.83 km run of the Nurburgring. It had the top spot not too long ago.

I hope their staff takes a look at those videos with real sound.

Like, it seems thats they make GT games for people with eyes and no ears.

If they put the same effort they put on graphics towards sound, i'm sure we would be close to that.

Maybe its just me but that G37 is pretty ugly in silver with all that crap on the front. Compared to the Evo behind it it looks pretty bad. Maybe if all those weird pipes were painted black or something it would be different.

I thoughts that as soon as I saw it unveiled last year. And in silver with lots of light on it its even worse.

That's just how the car is. It's not that good looking from the front, they should've used a dark grill instead, would've looked a tad better :P
