I have the PS3 version and it doesn't look much different then those 360 screens, the pc version just shits on both versions graphically, shouldn't be a shock to anyone really.

The way I look at the HD consoles(as they're being presented currently, not just the HD factor), they're really trying to be like PCs and there are certain things on a PC you can't really replace, so you're gonna buy one anyway, therefore there's very little need for these HD consoles. I hope and find quite likely that the proposal of the HD console will eventually become obsolete, and that instead we'll expand the PC platform to fulfill those same market needs quite successfully.

Not as long as owning a console is wholly more easy and convenient than a capable PC.

Consoles and PMP/Phones are swallowing up all the functions that the majority of society would want a PC for, leaving people who either need the hardware for work or are just that dedicated to being on the cutting edge to deal with the hardware's funny little "quirks."

Assassin's Creed? Gears of War? Hell, Gears of War itself is good enough of an example.

PS. You'd only need a moderate PC to render it at 720p at max settings. That's way more than 5% of PC owners out there.

Well, I'm going from my own experience, playing it on a high end pc on the same monitor as I play xbox 360 and I didn't notice any difference.

Wait, this looks like it goes beyond simple image quality, appears to me that there is a distinct difference in the actual design of the city. Whole buildings are missing from the console shots, not just the distant ones but ones really close. Did they actually add more detail for the pc version? Thats a pretty big addition.

Nope. Just like GTA SA wasn't the same game. Not only was the gameplay improved, but the community mods were ace. Not to mention being able to record stuff will be awesome and something that the console version should have had.

What I was implying with that was. improvements in resolution is not a substitute for lack of content.

It blows my mind how this game get so little attention at GAF. It's arguably the best Strategies series ever and looks absolutely fucking fantastic.
I can't wait to play this game.

Screens are too small and they're taken from different spots in the city (unless they've redesigned the city).

I think its a different FOV that makes it look funky, except the dock shot. i can't explain that one.

I wouldn't doubt that the PC version would be better, but wow, those "console" pics are horrid. But of course PC games scale greater with time via the open box environment, but there's always some console game that hits that makes you say damn, like KZ2.
