So. Yeah. Fun thread we had here but if anyone cares, they fixed this in less than a month

If you don't like the game and its content it's perfectly understandable, and there's certainly nothing that will change that. But easy as it may be to demonize them, ArenaNet has in reality provided one of the best consumer values in the history of the industry with GW2, which is right now on sale for the ludicrous price of $20. They do listen to community outcry and take positive steps in addition to a pretty goddamn rapid release cycle (next patch hits Tuesday). Comments about it being similarly monetized to F2P games should honestly be laughable to anyone paying attention to the market.
Uh, or they changed their methods after user feedback? It seems like, due to complaints, it ended up working out much better. I fail to see how that's a "ha ha in your face" moment when people complaining basically got what they wanted.
