conman said:I'm glad this adapter seems to work for people. For me, no. I've got the latest firmware (1.93). The adapter will sync with my PS2 dualshock, but no dice on the SG controller. I've tried just about every combination I can think of to get the PS3 to sync with the guitar, but not a thing.
Here's what generally happens: while the PS3 is off, I plug in the usb adapter, I plug the guitar controller securely into it. I boot up the PS3. The sixaxis syncs as controller 2. I start up GH2. Sixaxis responds, but absolutely nothing from the guitar.
I've even tried many combinations of syncing the sixaxis in different controller positions. No dice. Should I just take it back to Radio Shack 'cause it's broken?

That adapter works great for me.Oni Jazar said:Ok I went to another Radio Shack and they had two different PS-to-USB adapters for sale. I got the one that you have pictured above (I want to note that the packaging makes no referrence to PS2 only PSX). It was on sale for $8, not too shabby. I will report if it works when I get home later today.

It shouldn't matter since this isn't likely an emulation issue, but rather a usb/adapter issue. But I have a fully BC 60gig (NTSC).The Sphinx said:Let me ask the most dangerous question... which kind of BC do each of you have in your PS3? EE+GS (North American) or software+GS (European and 80G)?

Yea, unfortunately not all adapters work. I've tested different USB adapter and standalone USB pads and while virtually all of them work in XMB/PS3 games(so far the only one that didn't was the 360 pad), only select few also work in PS2 emulation.conman said:The adapter will sync with my PS2 dualshock, but no dice on the SG controller.
