Btw, for anyone who hasn't downloaded this trailer yet: Don't expect an 18 minute MGS style trailer. This is a short teaser like the first Halo 2 video. It's probably just as long.

Nice. New gun looks like a cross between the battle rifle from H2 and the assault rifle from the first game.

And that music - goddiggitydamn. Wow. Marty is a god.
 
Yeah it wasnt much at all. :lol The graphics were nice but it was all fully cutscene based and without any jaggies. The fact they delayed it further isnt great either.
 
If this was a PS3 game, people would be claiming it was CG, and too expensive.. *sigh*

looking at the H2 cutscenes the H3 teaser looks very plausible

Uhm... the trailer is about 2 minutes in length, it is all real-time, interactive... sort of a demo...

The music seemd a bit too cheerful in the beginning and the end, but everything in between that was fucking epic. 360=+1
 
Bungie is one of the most talented Western studios in existence. If anyone can make a game live up to expectations, it's them.

I wasn't all that hot on Halo 2. Original Halo was a good game, but I don't think it was "great".

I am curious to see the trailer regardless.

Impressive in terms of graphical detail showed, especially in the beginning (although the animation was a little stiff), but the trailer itself wasn't that exciting to be honest. I mean, in terms of what actually happened in it. And great music btw.

This must be the E3 where every game trailer just flat out dominates.

Releasing it on Live so that I can hear it in 5.1.... holy crap. What a fucking awesome trailer. It was really epic.

My only complaint is that I had to stare at Master Chief for too long. The rest of the trailer got the point across. This new Halo is going to have some good shit it it, and it even has an epic feel to it.

Trolling? Is that the best reply you can give. Maybe because there are loads of other better fps this e3 to get excited about instead of Halo 3. Just maybe. I wont be excited about Halo till they really improve the game. So far a cutscene isnt going to convince me.

I kinda WANT this game to be delayed... I want each and every second this development team needs to make the game perfect. I want H3 to be my favorite game of all time. :(

Three years doesn't seem enough for some reason.

Bungie never shows CG trailers/footage, ever. And the 360 is cheaper than the PS3. Nice try though, numbnuts.

Halo was a rushed disappointment in my book (although not entirely their fault), but Halo 2 wasn't near the gameplay leap over Halo that I was hoping for. As far as I'm concerned, they have yet to completely live up to their hype with a Halo game.

I know is early but after seeing the trailer for 8th time I feel that bungie is in the right direction this time

We have no idea what that direction is. It was just a teaser trailer with footage that may not even be in the final game. For all we know it could be a wide-open online tactical shooter, or a regular corridor shooter like the previous Halos. That's what annoys me about these stupid little teaser trailers.
 
fucking awesome trailer. the scope and scale and especially the amazing music. i agree, it had a sadness to it that touched a nerve a bit. fuckin A, can't wait now! :D

Wrong, when Joe Staten was at my school (Northwestern University), he mentioned that the original Halo 2 trailer was sorta CG. Every frame was rendered on the original Xbox hardware though. It was just pasted together.

Anyway, it was an ok trailer. Glad that Bungie is making it.
 
Again, go to Bungie.net right now, and it's all in-game, on the 360 hardware... don't come in here and try to be a killjoy because other companies live off shit like that...

Anyways, I STILL can't get that trailer on my 360 to see it in 720p goodness yet, but I got it off Bungie.net and...

HOT DAMN.

The Halo 2 trailer gave me goosebumps many years ago... and Bungie has done it again!!!

Marty is a audio god... and the visuals have even surpassed the mighty Gears of War - as only Bungie can do... dear God... it looks even better than even the fakest CGI trailers out there - and it's all done on our glorious 360...

Bungie, I love you, oh how I love you... Microsoft, thank you for showing so much love to Bungie...

Halo 3 = GOTY 2007...

And thanks to the Marketplace, all of the world will be able to bask in the glory that is Halo 3... I shudder to imagine what the rest of the stages, scenery, vehicles, enemies and battles will look like...

And don't get me started on online co-op and multiplayer...

MS wins E3, flawless victory... not even a contest...
 
I can see why it would excite fans, but as an outsider looking to be swayed it did nothing for me.

Music was good though.
