I haven't played ODST, but this trailer felt... powerful. I thought I was done with Halo. Maybe it was the music again, but it managed to get me that emotional feeling I have not felt since the original Halo in a shooter.
That sense of wonder, and of the visuals and music telling a narrative. I know it sounds bizaare and pretentious, but just listening to some of these Halo songs, make me just... sort of make up my own story about the world, people and mythology in the game.
I am sure Call of Duty had better scripting, or Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 better graphics and more details, but.. yeah. For some reason I am impacted by this trailer, and I dont know why. All the new gameplay features don't really interest me. I didnt get into Halo 3 online. I shouldnt be interested in this, but I sort of am.
