Might be time for Harrison to hang up the pilot suit.

NBC News said:
Actor Harrison Ford was involved in a potentially serious incident on Monday as he was piloting his private plane, a single engine Husky, NBC News has learned.

Ford, an experienced pilot who collects vintage planes, had been instructed to land on runway 20-L at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California but mistakenly aimed for a taxiway instead. His plane passed over the top of an American Airlines 737 loaded with 110 passengers and a six-person crew.

The passenger plane, AA flight 1546, managed to depart safely for Dallas just minutes after the incident.

Ford, 74, was captured on air traffic control recordings asking, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?"

Air traffic controllers then informed Ford that he had landed on a taxiway rather than the runway.

Landing on a taxiway is a violation of Federal Aviation Administration safety rules.

I knew someone who had this happen to them, but they were in the Cessna 172 and the person who flew over was in the 737.

Bit scarier.

If I could choose a way to die - Having Harrison Ford blow up my plane sounds loads better of dying of old age.

Imagine the gravestone.

Imagine if you were dying because of Harrison Ford. That would probably be the strangest death you could ever aspire to, like "man this sucks but hey, that's him!"

I just love it that Han Solo is a pilot IRL.

Also glad that everyone was OK. I am guessing this kind of thing happens a lot.

I want to try to not make light of a serious incident that could have gotten people killed...but this is gonna be hard.

Try to act casual.

I mean, I know this gif is popular, but it doesn't really make any sense here.

It actually kind of does.
Basically old dude doesn't care and does what he wants.

Not saying that Ford actually doesn't care, but that's what this gif implies relative to the story.

Roughly the size of a baaaaaarge
For reference, this is what the airport approach looks like:

Ford was cleared to land on runway 20L (19L in this old picture).
