I know. Sometimes I don't like to wait though. If you get "play a bunch of 5 cost cards", best way is to just wait for another quest and tag team it in the course of a natural play exp in Arena or normal mode.

I pay money to play Arena, and because their servers are disconnecting AND they don't have a grace period for reconnects, I am directly losing money I've invested in the game.
I feel like I'm allowed to complain about that. Improper implementation of a feature to prevent people from losing money. If you put money-based features in a beta, make sure it at least works.
Your point is contradictory. The best way for users to express what aspects of a free to play game are offputting is to complain in the hopes that they are changed. Blizzard is clearly paying attention to the community, which is why they are balancing cards based on what is most vocally being complained about and they upped the gold gains already. The free to play system in Hearthstone is still pretty busted though and actively dissuades people from playing the game. There should always be a path for progression, but right now players can only progress with dailies. As such I can log on for the day, clear out my daily quest in maybe five minutes, and then be left questioning if I should continue to play because I will not be rewarded.
none of the complaints arent even formed on the basis that Blizzard owes anybody anything.
balance complaints are fundamentally grounded upon the basis that this is a PvP game, which it is, since it always assumed that a broken PvP game is hardly worth playing at all.
cast 40 spells is the worst.
takes as long as a 5 win one (probably even more), with 33% less reward
I don't think there's an issue either. Looking at the bigger picture, there will be a lot more to the game soon enough. Adventures and rewards for playing constructed / tournaments will give us a lot more to do other than play 5 matches for Arena gold, and actually take a lot of the current focus away from the arena and put it in to ranking high enough in tournaments for prizes and winning really hard PVE battles.
I don't think the game would last a long time if it were just Arena, Arena, Arena, Arena. Needs more variety and we'll see it soon enough hopefully. Arena's a lot of fun, but if that's the only draw to the game, it's not enough I think.
Good games inky. Sorry I silenced off your kill spell twice. I never expected to silence my own minion lol.
Based on the numbers Blizzard posted for win rate it's clear to me that they are more concerned with what is frustrating to players than what is actually balanced. The thing universally proven in what they released is that Priests are weak, but Mind Control is still getting nerfed.I promise you 1000% that users complaining are a much much smaller catalyst for game changes than actual user analytics. No class would be rebalanced thanks to complaints on Reddit if Blizzard's data didn't show one class had a consistent edge.
It's too early to determine if Blizzard free to play model works. Even if it does, there is nothing that proves the game wouldn't be more successful with tweaks. It's not about playing the arena often, it's that gold gains are tied to arbitrary quests instead of consistent play. The game doesn't offer enough rewards for people willing to put in additional time.Likewise, why in the world make changes to Arena, the game's big gold sink, if the total number of Arena entries remains steady? If people complain online but there's no drop in numbers, no change will be made.
I think we have fundamentally different philosophies on free to play games. Yes the game isn't charging me anything to play, but I also have no obligation to play Hearthstone. Instead I invest time into the game, and if the game isn't willing to reward that players won't play.Heck, even people like me complaining about the lack of card trading. I complain about it, but Blizzard doesn't owe me the feature - they owe me nothing.
Bottom line is the game is free. You can DL it and get a few free packs a week forever, and play against your friends using their servers, without spending a cent.
if only riot had made their TCG
woulda been pretty good
n have rewards everywhere
its too late by now - hearthstone has taken over the world it seemsIt's probably in theworks.
Buy skins to unlock cards. Buy cards to unlock skins. Rune pages for your cards. The works.
but what about doto TCGI just had a mage freeze me out something like 4 turns in a row with an Arena deck -_- Still won that one, but it definitely slowed me down.
Oh and another game vs. a mage that I lost he had the most ridiculous hand/deck. Multiple spell power cards and had at least 1-2 of the minions that make spells cheaper, and he was just throwing them left and right. 3+ frostbolts, 2+ cones of cold, and a pyroblast to finish me off.
Other game vs. a Shaman I was up to an early lead, up like 30 to 10 health, but he pulls a Doomhammer vs. my deck with no oozes and proceeds to wreck my face. Not to mention my Paladin deck has no Consecrates (none available), so once he survived my initial onslaught and was able to take care of everything with the Doomhammer, I had no response to his totem/minion spam. He also had an earth elemental at the end which I had no solution for. Not to mention a super clutch healing totem. But already that's kind of crazy with two (stong) epics vs. a deck that has none.
is it still a tcg if you can't t?
Mind Control is dominant at lower skill levels. Priests have the problem of "our games take three times as long as everyone else's" right now. It makes people auto-concede. That's not good.Based on the numbers Blizzard posted for win rate it's clear to me that they are more concerned with what is frustrating to players than what is actually balanced. I agree, it's not good. But it's an area that causes frustration rather than guarantees wins. If Blizzard was serious about balance they would compensate for Mind Control's nerf in other areas since the class is already at a disadvantage.Mind Control is dominant at lower skill levels. There are definitely ways to make up for it elsewhere. Arena was also likely an issue for MC though. You have to balance everything.I agree, it's not good. Blizz didn't followed up on that Beta hype in the beginning. It's been "out" for how long now? Stream numbers are declining by the day. I don't get why they wouldn't release an open beta already.
old habitsis it still a tcg if you can't t?
what do you meanI had hoped Bluzzard would show more proactiveness regarding balance in this game but it seems theyre sticking to their WoW cycle.
Its a shame really.
thats just a TC, not a G

What? Stream numbers are higher now than before Blizzcon. TrumpSC had 13k viewer instead of his normal 7 - 8k earlier.
that won't last long. and even that is nothing compared to the initial hype.
Anyway, question still stands: Why not release an open beta. There are no wipes planned anymore, so there is no reason not to. I don't get why they did a wipe but didn't release open beta. What sense did that wipe had?

What is the quickest way to getting new cards without using real money?
Getting good at Arena. What is the quickest way to getting new cards without using real money?
I'm watching Hafu on Twitch...someone has just donated her $1500 0_0
Arena is so fucking broken, I barely have any cards yet I keep getting matched against no life nerds with them all.

...
Anyway, sounds like the problem is on your end. Being a "no life nerd" gives them no more advantage in arena other than being better drafters than you
You mean constructed ("Play"). Arena has you drafting from the whole card pool.Arena is so fucking broken, I barely have any cards yet I keep getting matched against no life nerds with them all.
Just got my second Golden Legendary
Golden Onyxia lookin' good.
Next month or the one after.Any word from blizz con on when it will be open beta?
In my Arena run last night, one of my opponents went turn one Coin -> Murloc Tidehunter, turn two Mad Bomber. Killed both his murlocs, and hit himself in the face with the third bomb for good measure.
