Would making the coin not count as a spell or a combo starter be a good nerf?
I would certainly miss coin/SI:7 on turn 2.

******fkkking argus bug AGAIN. 3/4 times today. and always THE WORST target get's the buff. So salty right now.
This patch fucked my game up hard. My Blood Knight attacked a 1/1 Novice Engineer and just autodied. My Argus card have been fucked too. Anyone having the same problems?
Would be a huge nerf to Rogues that for sure. No more Scrub starts.Would making the coin not count as a spell or a combo starter be a good nerf?

I've taken Defias out of my rogue deck. I feel that coin/SI:7 is way better. Especially against a turn 2 faerie dragon. Failing that having it around later in the game as a combo starter can be huge.
One of my favorite things to do is talk to the player as if I were actually playing with them, haha.
Calling out cards they have, trash talking. It's the best part of CCGs.
I do it, too. Not as fun as real life when they're there in front of you, but I guess it's habit.
"C'mon. Play the Flamestrike, fool. Stop stalling, I know you got it. Play it...There it is!"
Just got an email that I got into the beta. Sweet. Are paladins in this game for a deck option? I'm slightly obsessed with paladins.

Other than that it would affect the Mage Mana Wyrm openers or getting an extra draw from Gadget Auctioneer or buffing Questing Adventurer. Really though it's just a big ass nerf to Rogues because their game play going first versus second is very different. I am pretty sure if you come up with the stats, Rogues win more matches going 2nd than going first (at least that's what it feels like on both Constructed and Arena).
My favorite class by a mile. They're endearingly clunky.Just got an email that I got into the beta. Sweet. Are paladins in this game for a deck option? I'm slightly obsessed with paladins.
One thing I think people not coming from other card games don't understand. The issue of decks just being all the best cards will be true In any environment where the card pool is this limited. Synergistic decks, especially combo, need larger card pools to be viable. There really aren't all that many cards in the game, and when you reduce it to the most viable cards the pool is shrunk dramatically. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, it's purely a function of card pool. The fact that most classes see competitive play, and have more than 1 deck per class is an insanely good sign when the pool is this small.
Think they will get bit in the ass later on from cards like coin, innervate, etc. though.
It should be done, because the whole idea that Rogues need to go second to do better is bullshit. You should have equal or close footing on either starting position. There'd have to be some sort of compensation of course, but the fact a rogues game can be decided before even a single turn has been taken is stupid.

Last fight: (I won)
But god DAMN look at my hand. This is Arena.
Not against a Shaman or a Warrior who can just use their weapon to kill it instantly. Even Druid can use that +2 attack to kill it if it has the card.Turn 2 Coin Faerie Dragon is the best thing ever. EVER

Now if they can just balance the Priests some, that would help (seriously, they have so many 2 cost cards that can just wreck entire decks, it's amazing that they haven't been given the nerfhammer yet).
Warriors are still really strong. OTK was a gimmick whose time had come.
That can definitely happen in Arena too.In Arena. Arena > Constructed

I use coin 1 Faerie Dragon with a Paladin when I have Argent Protector next and I am not facing against a class who can take out Faerie Dragon fast.

You still got Rockbiter and Claw to worry about!Luckily I'm packing Ooze in my deck to deal with that kind of situation.

Also the random ass Arcane Missiles. I swear that thing is a Faerie Dragon magnet.
Just got into the beta last night, and about to finish the tutorial matches. Is there anything I should know about the game in general or the F2P economy right off the bat? Basically, stuff you wish you knew before you started playing.

Just got into the Beta a couple of days ago. I was wondering if there was any resources on competent beginner decks to make? (that don't require opening 50 packs)
What dedicated HS sites is everyone perusing, for articles, tips etc?

I don't think Warlocks got a bad nerf. Might've been a buff because that makes the Young Priestess a bit more valuable to a lock, assuming you can protect it long enough for it to really buff things long enough.
I use my own ingenuity. Much more fun that way.
What the hell is this shit?
Man, guy is asking a specific question. Instead of answering it, decide to brag and then subtly belittle him. 2 for 1 confirmed.
They're like one of the worst Constructed classes at the moment. If anything, their early game is probably too weak from a creature perspective (outside of Ancient Watcher / Injured Blademaster setups) to really be that relevant.
Like, at high ranks there's very few Priest players in general (I can think of like two?). They're a fairly limited class right now.
Don't buy the packs directly; saving up the 50 extra gold for arena runs is worth it in potential gains in addition to the guaranteed packs.Just got into the beta last night, and about to finish the tutorial matches. T1 Coin-> Dragon into T2 Argent Protector is one of the most brutal openings in the game.Turn 2 Coin Faerie Dragon is the best thing ever. EVER
Just watch streams to the in and outs of arena and value. Kripp is fantastic for this. Trump is as well. Haven't seen many players at their level sans one person whose name evades me.
Get level 10 on all classes to get your 'basic' cards.
Disenchant a shitty common to get a rare of your choice.
Mage is bottom tier.
the cheapest way to get a lot of cards is to get really good at the arena. if you do well enough you get enough gold to run it again plus some cards.
