Hearthstone |OT9| Our raid wiped in Icecrown Citadel

Got the murloc quest. Make a Paladin deck and throw all the murlocs in it with a couple Divine Favors.

Hard to play 75 murlocs when your opponent concedes on turn 4. :/

Honestly, I'm surprised it took this long for Mage to become this big of a pain in the ass. I had an opponent Quadruple Blizzard my board away. Nothing feels worse then watching as they Blizzard away your win

mage druid rogue and warlock are the best designed classes in the game.

they have sometimes been tier 1, but never been OP and can be countered.

freeze mage
tempo mage
combo druid
jade druid
zoolock
handlock
renolock
miracle rogue (has survived so many metas, amazing archetype)
oil rogue
quest rogue

compare that to warrior, hunter paladin and shaman who've alll had their time to shine because of a few unbalanced cards in the meta.

face hunter
undertaker hunter
midrange hunter with call of the wild.
patron warrior
tempowarrior
pirate warrior
aggro shaman
midrange shaman
secret paladin

all feel like bullshit decks.

priest has always been lol priest.

Is there ANY sort of tech option that can help against priest? I just lost against 4 straight ranked priests. I tried hunter which had no success. I tried pirate warrior, which of course had 2 weapon cards (axe + upgrade) in the top 15 (statistically should have been 4 or more).

Common factors are tons of drakonid operatives, shadow visions, 3 HP minions that discounts spells, 6-HP healing feast minion, the minion-stealing potion, and multiple copies of the various death spells.

As hunter you should have no issue with priest. When I play midrange I eat them for breakfast.

That is precisely the deck I'm using, and I lost 3 straight with it. I even took out a crab to try for better luck, but still failed.

Priest is my worst matchup besides other hunters and by far my most common matchup besides other hunters.

I'm using this deck with infested wolf and one hungry crab swapped out: http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/midrange-beast-hunter-deck-list-guide-standard/

Are you playing aggressive?
I try, but typically they can clear my board or steal my minions so I can never build up (death cards if I have low / high attack minions, steal if low attack minions). If they aren't doing either of those, then I've been having very poor mulligan results with all high mana or all low mana cards.

Sounds like you are unlucky. Usually a priest wont be able to remove enough before you kill them on turn 6

Also might wanna run a fire bat instead of the infested.

But yes you can get unlucky against a priest because that class relies so much on rng its insane. Just hope you face me because I never get the right answers from my lyra etc. with priest its pure casino clownfiesta.

Hungry crab just seems silly to me, like gokalla sure it's amazing when it has a target but how often? I really don't see murlocs more than 1in5 games. I do use a gokalla tho but it's a more reasonable body, running all four must insta win against pirates /murlocs? But I just don't run into THAT many of em personally. Also uth is life , and a hunters mark will almost always give value. And tracking is possibly the best top deck in the game after turn 6 in a class like hunter. I have no idea why people skip out on tracking, wasting one mana is nothing compared to snabbing the exact card you need in the situation ESPECIALLY if running all 4 of those tech crabs.

Priest is very good against deck with a lot of token atm because they all run double potion of madness

Their early minion like cleric n elemental has high health and soft taunt.. its terrible matchup for hunter and aggro druid

Weird. I have zero issues with priest as hunter.

Taunt warrior is still the most boring deck to play against.

And now I ofc lost to a priest right after typing this....To be fair though, if my mulligan hadnt been the worst one possible I doubt he would have won. I didnt manage to get any real board before turn 3. Normally I have taken a good chunk of their life by that turn.

I dont run hungry crab in my Midrange. The thing about gorlakka is that it also has a reasonable body if you have to play it as a tempo play without a target.

Hmm I dont personally run tracking since I feel the 1 mana spot is pretty crammed with good beasts that I dont want to pull out.

Hungry Crab is awesome in a Murloc Paladin deck. Worse case scenario, I just eat a token and get a slight tempo gain out of it. Best case scenario, I blow out my mirror match opponents.

I don't see it worth running in any other meta decks atm though.

Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy pack cheaper.

Amazon.de currently has the 5000 coins at 36 Euros, and Hearthstone has a coin back promotion right now on the .de site, that means 51 packs for 36 Euros, which is about 0.70 Euro per pack.

you need to have an amazon.de account or change your account country to germany to use it.

It's telling that 3/4 of the classes you list as unstable have bad hero powers.

Hungry crab also made a lot sense in aggro druid

Its 1/2 beast

Damn, people are too wise to the turn one Counterspell. If I play Kabal Lackey and a spell turn one, a quest opponent will usually play a coin to burn the secret.

At least it gets them to burn the coin. And when they forget - countering the quest is so glorious.

I can't stop playing Secret Mage. It's not very strong, it's just too fun.

Currently 3-2 with a Hunter deck in Arena. All three wins where thanks to BGH. Heartharena suggested me to pick Bitterhide Hydra instead.

Wild is actually more interesting for this format since people haven't really tried to solve it. There are some scary decks possible like freeze mage and renolock. Of course wild pw is super broken too.

"Ready to test yourself against Hearthstone’s best in the fiercest competitive Tavern Brawl experience available? If you think you’re up to the challenge, get your deck ready and prepare for an expedition into the wilds of Hearthstone, because the first ever Wild Heroic Tavern Brawl begins this week!"

http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/blog/20720845/wild-heroic-tavern-brawl-is-coming-5-1-2017

This should be interesting as this Brawl is coming out at the right time, not too late after an expansion but not right before a new expansion either. Enough wiggle room for players to innovate and refine Wild decks.

Curious to see the top decks in this.

very curious of the new TB, hopefully we see more decks than the usual ones in standard now.

it would be very tiresome if we just see murlocadin all over the place there give it is wild

There's going to be so many hilariously greedy decks in this thing combined with egg druid and pirate warrior.

And secret paladin will be in the middle feasting on the greedy decks and being feasted on by aggro.

I can't wait for the streams.

Well another Heroic TB, another week I skip TB. Not gonna ever pay that price to enter unless I end up streaming or something on YouTube. Not worth it for the avg player.

Will be interested to see the Wild decks that come out of this. Also it tips people's hands toward what getting top wild legend might look like this season since that is a thing this month too. Should be some interesting fallout.

Top 3 decks in Wild are likely:
Pirate Warrior
Egg Druid
Renolock

Just in case anyone wants to give the brawl a shot.

Secret Paladin is probably tier 2.

removing PO from standard at this point in time was probably a mistake. If PO was around warlock was still relevant, zoo just doesn't work without it and control doesn't work without healing.

Removing PO was absolutely the correct decision. It was either that or nerf the card because it was obviously too good.

And this is something I can say playing a crap ton of Warlock so this isn't even a "you are biased against" Warlock thing.

Warlock can definitely survive being a "bad" class for an expansion. They don't have any inherent design issue, their problem is Blizzard printing not good enough Warlock cards compared to the other classes.

Can someone PLEASE calculate the approximate odds of me getting this fucking card as the monthly golden epic three times now? I mean, we've gotten ranked rewards for like 12 months now? That's 12 golden epics... and 3 of them are the same? HOW?

HOW??????

Yesterday I got the jungle giants card from the free packs, today I get the win 5 games with druid quest. I think the universe is trying to tell me something..

It's a false prospect as you won't be winning much with that one.

oh I wish that would be true, I got that quest and haven't even touched just seeing so many streamers losing horribly bad with it.

the card is really bad as I've seen.

I can't tell which is harder, druid or warlock quest. At least with warlock you get unlimited free minions, with this thing I'd already have enough mana to summon them by the time I finish.

I don't know, I'll look into it.

EDIT: maybe by the next expansion the'll add a few more tools for this and warlock

It pains me but priest quest just seems bad.

I almost want to take it out my Reno nzoth priest and just replace it with something else even though the rest of the deck will remain the same.

The value just isn't really there. The 5 mana 8/8 taunt is more relevant than the set health to 40.

I guess it's enough value to be worth it but I don't know.

Getting it 3 times in a row would be something like 1 in a million. Getting it total is still probably very low.

It's my favourite deck in Wild right now :) Piloted Shredder, Sylvanas, Dr. Boom, Reno..

I got two Paladin quests so I tried piloting that Finja Murloc deck and hoo boy is it dumb.

Granted I only played like 3 ranked matches due to the internet at work, but unranked I was just rolling people.

Got lethal off Leeroy and adapting him for +3 damage and windfury lmao.
