They might have changed it. I only did it with my EU launch phat. Still rocking the original 120GB drive in my PS3slim.Maybe they have different types of screws (or I was just lucky). My Slim screw didn't seem especially soft (not exactly hard either), but never in danger of getting stripped when screwed with the correct bit.
Not if you put it the right way around. That picture is of the back of the console.
$61.31 Eur for just ONE screw? Isn't that like $80 US dollars...the hell!
That screw is adorable. Your move, Microsoft.
You're right, I don't really have a proper set...a couple of the sizes for my adjustable screwdriver have been lost over the years. I did okay until the last screw..I guess I got too excited.
And what do you mean, you people?!?!![]()

That would be great! Hopefully someone will do this. If Sony doesn't do it themselves.

How about some useful information like how many RPM's the HD is and what size? 2.5"?
SATA 3?
I mean seriously, we are talking about screws?
Will we get people buying a ps4 and making a video of breaking them in front of everyone in the lines this launch?
Size as in dimensions, or data storage?OK, what kind of drive can I put into that fucker? laptop size?
any word of maximum size?
DAT SCREW :O

It's been confirmed SATA2. And HDD is most likely same as PS3 (5400RPM (for heat) and 9.5mm height, 2.5").

With 3D printing nowadays, I don't think it will be long before we see one.
Also, to those speculating on drives for the PS4, I wonder if we can cut out the top of the drive cage, thus eliminating the height issues.
They should have had them all sitting flat actually and just took a slightly wider shot.1) Why have they not flipped the PS logo on 2 and 3?
2) Why is 4 backwards?
2TB HDD is sitting next to me waiting to go inside my ps4 when it arrives next month! Can't wait to unscrew that!
Thanks for the information.
I was worried about getting another replacement HD with potentially worse specs.
Hopefully Digital Foundry will do a load time test with a bunch of HD's.

Jury is still out on whether 15mm drives will fit.
