Only Xbox under Phil Spencer would not see the quality in their best game in awhile and instead stealth drop it while putting promotion money into the bad games like Redfall.Should have been hyped more than just shadow dropped
Also, if MS is going to put these games on GamePass I don't know how they can judge whether it did well enough. Doubt it brought in many subs.
Hopefully MS can see it's good reception as a sign of success rather than sales because it was sent to die…I wonder how they expect these games to sell when they are on GP?
Is Grubb = VGChartz?![]()

I guess he can go back to lol'ing at vgchartz
The funny thing is, you're missing not only one but several points here.I'm not seeing what's so hard to believe about this. Xbox can obfuscate with puffed up player numbers and statements like "our key measurements", but it's pretty clear what's happening.
Big G has spoken.
All of the games you've seen from Bethesda since the MS purchase were games already in development before the MS purchase.Bethesda is not the same anymore after the MS acquisition. You can see it in all their new games and it's very sad. I hope Starfield at least will be a reasonably good game, it's my last hope for Bethesda.

The big heads are happy with what the game did and it apparently met their expectations. What more should we believe is happening?I'm not seeing what's so hard to believe about this. Grubb is worse.Honestly Aaron Greenberg isn't the best person to believe on the MS side of things. The guy regularly associates with and amplifies the most toxic fanboys.
So let me get this straight, some no-name guy on Twitter makes a claim and we believe him but the boss of marketing comes in, clarifies, and we don't believe him. Basically, we run with whatever narrative we want. Correct?Yeah I'm a little confused why we take vague corporate denials as gospel. Like it's pretty clear Sony WAS lying about cutting production estimates for VR2 - or at least had low ones to begin with. Everyone here just ate up their denial.
Same thing here. What are key measurements? Are sales part of that? Player count? Review scores? Gamepass sub bump? And you're happy with "what [Tango] delivered?" That you weren't happy with the product wasn't even what Grubb was talking about.
Nothing has been addressed here - and frankly, the fact that they responded at all makes them look nervous and weird.

Sony isn't going to publicly lie about that since they're beholden to investors. And Grubb takes the L for this.Yeah I'm a little confused why we take vague corporate denials as gospel. As clearly demonstrated by this. He says some shit then goes full damage control mode. Then the next day, some person with a name schools him.No - based on record Grubb is a good journalist and every single corporate face has reason to dodge and mislead. All of them - Jim Ryan, Phil Spencer, Aaron Greenberg, Herman Hulst - ALL of them.
He absolutely is. He's just another journo who routinely spouts bullshit information. The only game journalist who has an almost spotless record is that Schreier dude or however his name is spelled.Jeff Grubb isn't some "no-name guy".

He's the piss out of his ass guy, everyone knows him. That doesn't make him a "no-name guy". We all know who Jeff Grubb is. That's literally the opposite of being a "no-name guy".
By no-name I mean that he's nobody important. That doesn't make him a "no-name guy". We all know who Jeff Grubb is. That's literally the opposite of being a "no-name guy".
I was just happy the game got more costumes like a week ago. Bought it instantly. This is one of those prize, why gaming podcasts can backfire threads. People need to talk, and if you are Jeff Grubb all you have is talk on rumor's and "insider info" of what you think is a harmless comment can completely backfire.
I do agree with what Jeff said though, that Xbox need to get behind this game and all their studios to steer the ship and make decisions. You got two months MS, June better be amazing!
