As posted above, devs will WANT to create these spaces to generate hype. Imagine, say, you go into a game space where you play some mini games and unlock an uber badass weapon or maybe some new car. So now you have this carrot to go and rent/buy the game.

Just as there are Achievement whores who play games simply to get more points, there will be people who play PS3 games after being given these carrots with potential trophies as a bonus. So now you get the carrot to get you to the table with another payoff in the trophies as the dessert.

Or whatever - that was horribly analogized. :lol

I was so excited by this news that I rode my bike to gmstp on Telegraph and killed two xbots irl. I tore my shirt off and dragged their bodies all the way to Rasputin's.

I guess it was a sort of impromtu homage to Wild 9. A Playstation EXCLUSIVE.

Anyhow yeah awesome news, bro.

makes sense to me. I just personally feel it deserved a closing statement. Threads that are just complete messes are closed and it's self-explanatory, but, like I said, it was civil to the point it was closed.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but one aspect of Home I find interesting is the ability of the Developer to introduce and showcase their game during the development phase to increase public awareness. Imagine going to the Insomniac Home to get insider information on everything Insomniac, developer diaries, documentaries and content.

it's part of the game trailers tv episode from DICE, just watch that and you'll see the bet that Kutaragi wouldn't know who Jaffe is etc.

If this stuff is fake, a lot of people will be pretty much owned. Doubt it's fake though. Probably a lot more to it than what we are thinking for all we know.

I remember them talking about something like that being a possibility. It seems like something rather obvious to do some hopefully they'll do it.

I don't think they would do and let the public participate that shit takes them out of their controlled environment.

But they might just have the stream and we could tune in or something.
 
The Warhawk stuff sounds the most interesting and unique for Home although it'll get used the least cause most people don't bother to go that indepth with strategy.
