Well fine you don't have read it.... Don't let the door hit you on the way out.Crystal ball bullshit the thread.
I really don't think people are aware of JK as much as you think/even care if you explain it to them. People online will screech about it, but when her views are explained I think the majority of people would agree. But the reality is most people just... don't care? Biggest issues for this game are just going to be is it good or is it licensed shovelware.Really depends on the game's quality. The biggest hurdle this game has is overcoming the slow death of the brand. JK, agree with her or not, has become a divisive figure and has done a lot to color the impression that many have of the Harry Potter franchise. Her controversies have taken a lot of the focus away from her creation (which was universally loved). Pile on to that the fact that the two newest movies are absolute pants and you have yourself a pretty tricky situation. Seriously, when's the last time the general public liked something coming from the wizarding world? I firmly believe that the IP needs the potential strength of this game more than the game needs the strength of the IP.
WB absolutely need this game to be a critical and commercial success. It needs to be Sony's Spider Man levels of good.

Are you forgetting GoW was made by one of the best game studios in the world? From a highly acclaimed series where everyone was was waiting for this entry as they already knew that the game will be great?Yeah I was just thinking if gow ragnarok sold 11 million so far for a popular sequel then Harry Potter has to do better than that.

6,679 right now I just checked
For every person on there the game will sell anywhere between 2.2-3k copies each!! (Assuming it sells between 15-20m copies which it most definitely will)
They are going to be hurting so much![]()
Out of Stock, games website is terrible, doesnt show out of stock until you press the button
I think judging it based on previous Harry Potter games won't reveal much.20 million is a damn lot, guys. This game is single-player only and technically it isn't on the same level as, say, RDR2 was at launch, and that was the most anticipated AAA game of its year from one of the biggest devs in the world. I'm not sure the Potter IP can drag it so far given the circumstances. 10 millions? I'd say easily. 15? Sure, why not. 20? Go take a look at a list of 20+ million sellers and you'll see a pattern a game like Hogwarts isn't a part of. If the available data is correct, the best-selling Potter game to date is still Philosopher's Stone in all its versions, and that's barely over 10 millions at the height of Potter mania. I don't think Hogwarts has what it needs to reach 20 millions, but we'll see.

I would say more like eventually than easily. It would have to be deeply discounted for awhile to reach those numbers. Most likely sales will be 60% ps and 20% each for xbox and pc for launch. Plus it doesn't matter that steam is bigger since a lot of pc gamers are conditioned(?) to buy on sale.Steam is much bigger than before. PC will surpass those numbers easily.
There is no stopping to that steam engine.
Nope, look at pre-orders on steam. It surpassed steam deck. That is a lot of copies sold, considering that list is total revenue. And you can't surpass steam deck in that area, unless you sell a lot of copies.I would say more like eventually than easily. It would have to be deeply discounted for awhile to reach those numbers. PS5does any of the consoles have the marketing deal?
I saw that it was number one on the sales chart but I don't know what that means by sales numbers for steam. I honestly just figure that any AAA third party multiplat game would sell double to triple on playstation than it would sell on steam or xbox at launch.Nope, look at pre-orders on steam.
