Damn. A lot of my friends and family wanted one. I've been using mine daily since I got it 3 weeks ago. Battery life could be better, but other than that, I love it.

http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/rts_tablet/rts_tablet/1/storefronts/EPP_00_FB355UA%2523ABA I think only EPP members can view that page.

Kindle Fire it is then. :(

Woo Hoo! Just got my order from HP SMB! Time to apply my Skinomi screen protector and tweak this sucker! Time to hit up the other thread!

Interesting. There are alot of TouchPad 32GB on ebay that offer buy it now price of $200 and nobody bid on it.

I know this because I couldn't sell my 32GB for $250. A few week ago I easily sold my 16GB for $225.

If the price is lower than $250 I am not going to sell mine. I rather install android on it and give it to my family.

That was to be expected. The only reason they were so expensive in the first place is because it took so long for HP to ship them out. Now that the hype's died down and they're actually in consumers' hands, eBay is flooded with TouchPads. Sucks for the hoarders, great for the others :)

Sold my 32GB locally for $250 last night. Guy did not lowball or ask for anything except where to meet with the goods.

I still have my 16GB to deploy Android. Currently have CyanogenMod open in the other tab.

Yeah, I'm glad to see prices die down. I'm hoping to get a 16 for $150ish or a 32 for $200ish. Fingers crossed!

It doesn't help either that Amazon has announced the KindleFire for $200 and HTC and RIM are discounting their own tablets already on the market. The Touchpad firesale price is still the best value for hardware but the discounts no longer seem so special.

Let's not forget how limited WebOS is. Lack of apps is a killer.

Stable android port can't get here fast enough.

Even the Alpha build of android is 100 times better than WebOS. Takes 10 minutes to install and I'll never go back to WebOS on mine even though I'm running alpha on android.

Good news: I got an email today saying my touchpad will ship within 2 weeks from HP SMB

Bad news: I got the same email two weeks ago.

same here. FAIL

My 32gig shipped and 16gig is on "backorder". No idea what that means. Also, what shipping company is everyone getting? HP is using RPS?? Ive never heard of them, and their site has no way to track.

Can any mini USB cable work with the charger or do i have to sue the hP branded one?
Any mini USB cable as I also used my kindle, phone cables.
How about that charger though? Anyone a spare 3rd party charger? I can't find the hp ones for a decent price :/

/edit
Oh wait, they're back in stock at a fairly decent price.

My Sunday 11 AM and Monday(cutoff day) 3 AM PST orders all arrived yesterday and today.

I had five(32GB) (due to stupid HP page constantly adding a separate line item when I move from saved cart to empty cart).
Gave one to my mom and sold the rest at no markup(160(tax included)) to friends and coworkers.

I still have the one I got from TD but won't be using it much till Android port is stable or Windows 8 comes out.

Finally the stupid HP touchpad ordeal is over.

Works with Air Video Server for streaming videos over your network with ease. Just install this on your TouchPad and Air Video Server from (http://www.inmethod.com/air-video/index.html) and it sees it as if it were a native app. My understanding is that it has some playback issues with some filetypes, but the 2 I've tried (mp4's) were perfect.

I'm really happy with Android now. Air Video was just about the only piece of software I've really been missing. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for me.

I checked ebay and prices have really come down.
So those with extras should unload'em fast before Kindle comes out or unload them when stable Android version is announced.
Most 32 GB sell for $215.

Kindle isn't 10". I suppose it's a competitor, but the screen size...it's a big deal that any potential buyer will have to think hard about. and the way Android development is coming along, any price at or below $300 is gonna be a good deal for a purchaser.

The order I put in after the cutoff point using that hacked link for SMB has shipped. I will end up with 4 touchpads :)
wow, you bastard

as soon as CM gets a hold of ICS and puts it on these you'll make some money.

Welp, my order finally shipped. Color me shocked. HP has been awful throughout this entire ordeal, especially considering they cancelled my order and kept holding my money. Then they call me and ask why the hold is being denied. Those fuckers. Alas, at least I am getting one.

Got my touchpad in the mail today, currently charging it up. There is a piece of dust stuck under the screen that will drive me nuts....the Acer Iconia one i returned had two pieces of dust in the middle of the screen too.

DUST. dustttttttttttttt.

Also some backlight bleed on the left side Xo

damn now im starting to get pissed...did u guys just randomly get your touchpads? or did you get tracking numbers? i got the 2 weeks email around the same as you guys and nothing. =(

I got 2. Shipping email came today, and tracking said it will come tomorrow.

My speakers started to randomly make crackling static noise when playing music.....i don't know if there is a specific cause for this yet, if it's problems with Amazon Cloud streaming on the unsupported browser, i need to put some music on this and see if it's a replicated problem.

Mine did this yesterday with the Music (remix) app and some music local on the touchpad. I rebooted it and it went away.

It's the first time that has happened, makes me think it's related to the new webOS update.

maybe you caused it and infected my touchpad *glares*

if i notice it again i'll probably call HP tech support and see what's up or make them more aware of it.

Oh, quick question - is there something akin to VLC for WebOS? I would like to load some Hakan videos onto my Touchpad for convention sketches to give artists a good reference for awesome-sauce. :D
