My Best Buy was cleaned out. Just wanted to shout out a big fuck you to anyone who bought up these games for any other reason than to play them (e.g., selling them, trading them in, etc.).

According to the workers at the BB I was at, they had twelve copies of Pure for the 360 when the store opened...and by the time I made it to the 360 rack literally five minutes later, they were all gone. There weren't even twelve people in the videogame section...pretty sure someone hoarded copies...ugh.

By the time I got to my Best Buy they were pretty much cleaned out, but I was able to snatch up the last copy of Infinite Undiscovery someone tried to hide. Now to dig through the old GAF topic for tips/info.

If I would have seen somebody doing that I would have grabbed what I wanted out of their cart and walked off saying fuck you very much.

Oh well, I have plenty of games in my backlog to keep me busy.

People like this fuckin suck. There was one guy walking around at the Best Buy here with at least 4 of the 007:QoS CE. Couldn't find Too Human either but I still picked up Silent Hill Homecoming and Infinite Undiscovery.

There was an issue with the pricing on it that didn't get fully corrected until 12:45 PM CST; if you had talked to the supervisor or one of the managers, they should have been able to do a price override to bring it down to $9.99.

Yeah, I did. One guy was running around like he was having the most stressful day of his life, and the other manager just shrugged her shoulders and told me the website said all versions of Quantum of Solace were 29.99 so kindly get bent.

I'm sure both copies they had are long gone, so oh well. Why would they even try a promotion like this if they weren't going to manage it properly? Almost none of the 9.99 games had stickers on them, and I saw guys with armloads of the same game. What's the point if they're going to let one person buy up every copy of the same game??

This is the kind of Mickey Mouse shit that Circuit City used to pull. I'm disgusted.

Hell yes. I picked up two copies. And no, I'm not a hoarding deuche, I was getting one copy for me and one for my brother.

What price was Ninja Gaiden DS? The insert says $10 but the store label said $20. It was all out of stock so I wouldn't have been able to get it anyway.

Just thought id hop on the trip report bandwagon. Went to BB right when it opened they had 0 copies of Pure and less than 5 IU. Spent awhile trying to track down a copy of pure in the store and wound up talking to some guy who had a basket full off all the games they did have but he was cool enough to offer all of his extras up to people who wanted him. So i guess not everyone who uses CAG was exploiting the system he just wanted to actually play them not flip em'. So i decided to go to wal-mart to get Pure price matched but they wouldnt let me since their copy of pure had a special dvd inside that was exclusive to wal-mart

Side note : Anyone gonna make an Infinite Undiscovery thread, because boy howdy there is a lot going on in this game and i could use some pointers.

I picked up Quantum of Solace with 007 T-shirt as well as Disney Sing It! with microphone (for my daughter). Both on PS3.

There were a TON of copies of SCIV, one copy of Lost Planet, one copy of Overlord, one copy of Ferrari Challenge and some other stuff I can't remember. None of that really interested me.

I guess I got lucky, I got to Best Buy around 3pm or so today, and came away with the only copy of Pure in the store and Unreal III (both for 360), plus had $5 worth of "Best Buy Bucks", so it was only $16 for both. Pure was sitting on the PS2 shelf, I just happened to notice it as I walked by.

I almost picked up Command & Conquer: Red Alert but don't know much about the console versions of those games.

I had to price match DMC4 at the Wal-Mart across the street from Best Buy. When I asked if I could, the cashier rang it up at $10 before I even mentioned what the price was or pulled the ad out of my pocket. I asked her if she needed to keep the ad, and she said "nah." Interesting.

The only game I didn't get to scoop up today was SC4. A little disappointed, but I don't know when I'd even get around to it playing SF4 as much as I do.

I went to my best buy today and saw that they had an island of bins set up near the gaming section.

I picked up Castlevania Judgment (I know i know )

and Disgaea DS. I didn't see them on the list but I was surprised to see them in the bins with stickers. I went to the cashier and they rang up at around 70+ dollars. I figured it was too good to be true but she marked them down to 9.99 each and I walked out paying with a 20.

Not a bad haul I suppose.

I got to my local BB at about a quarter till 11. There was about 8 people there just kinda hovering around the entrance. By the time that the store was about to open, there was probably at least 3 times as many people kinda lining up off to the side. The guy in front of me seemed to have an idea what was going on, but I was amazed when he went straight down the aisle when the games were in the back right area and there was an aisle that heads straight there. People were pretty much running, so I ran too and got there first.

I had scoped out what the store had on Friday, so I knew exactly where everything I was and pretty much snatched up everything I wanted. Ended up with:

C&C3 Kane's Wrath 360
C&C3 Red Alert 2 360
Quantum of Solace w/ shirt 360
Singstar Vol. 2 PS3
Ninja Gaiden DS
GTA DS

The only thing I didn't get was Blitz 2 on the 360, to which I hit another BB and walked in and out in 5 min with it.

I also wanted Bourne but found that on Friday already marked down to $10 so I snagged it then. I may have an extra copy of GTA and Red Alert 2 if my brother doesn't want them.

I too also saw people hording shit though and that kinda irked me. I saw people with like 5 copies of Ferarri on PS3, 4 copies of Quake Wars. Bleh. I guess I didn't think about trade in fodder for Gamestop, but oh well, not going to complain.

Until next Sunday, but best to go price match now while A) Wal-Mart still has stock, and B) Wal-Mart gets wise and starts verifying stock at BB which of course BB will be out of.

99% of the time they'll just price match and be on their way. It's a hassle theyd rather not have to mess too much with because it's time consuming.

Heh, she's cute and all and a "gamer girl" but I have an ex (also a gamer) who I still may be potentially be getting back with, optimistically speaking.

Funny thing is she was just getting ready to go home so if I didn't get that early leave from work, I would have missed getting IU.

I picked up Soul Calibur 4 and I'm liking it alright so far. I'm not big into fighting games but I had such a blast with SC on Dreamcast and SC2 on GameCube, I figured I may as well give SC4 a shot on PS3. Raphael's "tap you on the head with my sword" move is gone, which makes me sad
