Humble Nintendo Indie Bundle for the Americas

You can.

It's allegedly a gigantic pain in the ass, but you technically can. IIRC it has something to do with factory resets and a second memory card and shit.

Changing accounts to use different region digital content is the absolute worst thing of the Vita. Decided to never bother with it and if I import, it is a physical game that I don't want DLC of.

Oh, man, I love how the availability of this Humble Bundle just completely invalidates it as a positive, forward-thinking initiative. The hyperbole here is at peak capacity.

This is the very first console Humble Bundle ever offered, it's full of fantastic games, NoA's indie rep has stated that they aimed for all regions and will offer all regions eventually.

But it's Nintendo!!! we can't celebrate that they did something great for once and before everyone else. We need to find something negative about it and burn them instead!!!
/sarcasm

I totally agree with your post. Props to Nintendo. And I have a feeling that if Iwata stays up on top until the next console, it's going to be region free.

And to be honest, I'm actually sort of happy that it's US only.... because I just bought Stealth Inc 2 for Wii U :P

Yeah charity or no charity fuck you Nintendo for the region lock. Bias as fuck bundle. I don't care if it's being said 50 times already.

Cool! 10 bucks for a neat bunch of games though I think I now own Guacamelee on every platform known to man. lol

I had to lower the volume when putting in all the codes in the Wii U eshop. That music was kinda annoying. Is that Splatoon music?

Yep, Splatoon. And...
Nice, ready have 2 of the games in the $10 tier but is more than worth it.

Remember that you can redeem online for 3DS and Wii U will download if they're on sleep. If they're not, you can still go to your download history. Better than redeeming each code individually on the eShop.

:p
Did it all on my phone. ;)

But do we get it? Because if these are US codes I'm dubious that they work outside USA, unless these are some sort of "panregional" codes.
The humble support page is odd:

Brazil should be the 4th country with a full eShop...IIRC it doesn't have a Wii U eShop which I guess is why it is not listed.

Also they call limited eShops ambassador eShops for some reason. I guess because they have the Ambassador games, patches and nothing else (at least that is how Turkey is in PAL regions, distributor in that country stopped distributing shortly after launch).

Now if you wanted to extend this to PAL you would have another two sets of codes "Europe" (UK, the Republic of Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Russia, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Norway, Sweden, and South Africa and I think Czech Republic despite the NOE support page denying it) and then Oceania (Australia and New Zealand half the games probably are not out there anyway...).

Humble Bundle have managed to do region specific things in the past (well Germany specific actually) but the NOA tweet shows that wasn't the problem.

Also, just FYI but with the major AAA publishers' Bundles the average went up quick. This is fucking NINTENDO. Better beat the average quicker than Sonic...

Awesome. I've never purchased an indie game on Nintendo, so this'll give me a nice collection.

Seems pretty cool but since i live in the uk a cant use this .

It would be nice to be able to make multiple different regional accounts to get around region locking like on Sony and Microsoft consoles so i could make use of this offer.

Hopefully they can make a European deal at some point.

Interesting. In this case I guess it's kind of a weird situation for those outside Canada, Mexico or USA and the same could happen in Europe.

People can't read. NOA tried to make this happen with other regions.

The licensing guy for Nintendo tried for months to make it global.

Perhaps there was issue with some of these games not being available in Europe?

Well, this is unexpected. It's pretty nice, although the only game I really want is Mighty Switch Force. I have no Wii U and I already have everything else...

This was probably already covered, but in terms of the suggestion in the OP to use the B/S/T thread for unwanted keys, I thought it was frowned upon to re-sell Humble Bundle keys in that thread?

A region locked Humble Bundle. The fucking darkest timeline.

I buy all my indie on the Vita; even for the ones that are first on Wii U / 3DS I wait for Vita version and sales. But for this price I would double dip for sure, if only this was available in Europe :-(

I'm tempted to throw a couple bucks for Guacamelee, but I already have it for the PC. You know you have a problem when your OCD kicks in and you are looking at purchasing a game a second time just to get a little extra content.
