I didn't need this thread!... I was still seduced from before.

I pre-ordered so long ago, I almost forgot and ordered again.

This is how I feel about any SRPG. I'll give it a chance. Just hope it is a challenging game that rewards skill instead of just overleveling.
It has a hard mode. Sting usually delivers with their SRPGs. Tears to Tiara II is great even without the crazy mechanics you usually find in their games.

A Gamestop at my local mall had the game out, so obviously, I tried to buy it, it was a gutted copy too, I watched the guy pull the game out of the drawer, scanned it, price came up, and then he said the register told him it was street dated and he couldn't sell it or he'd be in trouble.

Aw...I tried. Got it preordered from Amazon now.

Mine arrived this morning. The make up of the box is done in a way that when standing on it's own it leans forward :/ trying to flatten the top and bottom of the box to rectify this at present.

Unsure if it was the way they packed the wall scroll in to the box that caused the issue or just a general flaw in the packaging design, but seems to be standing better atm.

So the estimated arrival was originally Monday. When I checked the tracking a few mins ago, it was already delivered to my place! Now to get off of work...

I've been skipping battle animations with X, so the feature's included here. Given that I want to take screens though, I could sure do without Start skipping TONS AND TONS OF DIALOGUE.

Does it not have Neptunia's VN style dialog system? There should be pause, auto play, a manual advance and speed up as well as a backlog if it does, Even PP did that.

it does, but the start button is the skip button unlike the others, luckily you can rewatch cutscenes in the cpu hotel so I can just go back and screencap dialogue

so i'm on chapter 5 and i haven't gotten materials that let me upgrade the equipment of the non CPU characters, guessing that means i need to open the elemental chests i've been seeing? (please say no)

Not only will I say yes, I will also say that first time clear elemental boxes have items you can only get at that stage. Even if you rechallenge, it's different items after that.
Anyway non-CPU characters only have 2 weapons in non-NG+, you can get them starting with chapter 6.
So, people. Rate the game.

noooooooooooooooooooooo

also the game is very good, i can count the number of SRPGs i like on one hand and i'm adding this to the list

Hmmm should I play rebirth 3 first?

Seems like they are wearing victory outfits in this.

Was that idol game any good?

So my LE is being sent back according to my tracking.... saying that it was "Undeliverable as Addressed" I've checked the order details and the address I put was correct. Man hopefully this get fixed soon. Was looking forward on playing this game first before Re;birth 2

I love Sting's SRPGs (well, not counting Riviera though, that game was slow as hell), will probably grab that game soon if it's good enough.

Idol game was very good humor-wise, okay to poor as far as sims go...I guess, I've never really played a sim like that all that much. I enjoyed my run through my fav character's route, but was a bit annoyed at having to redo the sim parts to go through the others so I haven't replayed it yet. Wasn't bad for the $20 I spent (NISA store sale) but I'd play the others first. It's 100% fully voice acted though, without the bad Noire/Blanc voices like Rebrith 1. Not sure WTF happened that they fully voiced the side game but not Rebirth 1...

Aside from the designs not much is different in the Victory universe. Mini-histy uses emoticons is about the only change.

I think this was mentioned elsewhere but if anyone wants to get around the whole screenshot issue without skipping a buncha text, just hit the PS button, then hit start.

Oh, people still fall for that, eh? One of the first OS-level "tricks" I learned with the Vita is always press PS button FIRST, then start, otherwise start gets sent to the game which is often Very Bad.

Interested about this one, but I do have a couple of questions:

1. Do I have to play the previous games to understand this one? If so, which games?
2. How's the ecchi in this one? Just curious, it's not gonna sway me either way.

Is mini-histy playable? Please tell me mini-histy is playable. This and Firefly Diary should be here today. Will probably dig into this one first

Haven't played this YET, but all of the neptunia games tend to be the same in these regards so:
1. None of the Neptunia games are strongly story-linked. At worst, a game might assume you know more about the characters' personalities/quirks than you do but they're usually made apparent very fast. Noire is a tsundere, Neptune is an airhead etc. There is (deliberately) no subtlety.
2. if it's like the prior game there will be a couple CGs played for laughs where someone might touch a boob on "accident" or be in a silly outfit. It's not a major part of the game but there's always a few tossed in usually for both ironic and non-ironic reasons. Vert usually jiggles her boobs for the special attacks but I'm not sure how that'll work with chibis.

So it's perfectly playable on its own, that's great.

And about those CGs, they seem innocent enough. I mean sure, boob jiggling and all, but I'm currently playing Senran Kagura on the Vita and Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on the PS4, so a bit of accidental boob grabbing is mild enough.

Thanks!

Is really "peck" the English way of describing the sound of a kiss? Maybe it's my fault that i don't know how to properly say it but it doesn't sound like a kiss to me and it really bothers me lol.

It's not really an onomatopoeia but it's appropriate enough. A peck is a light quick kiss on the cheek, visually similar to how birds peck things.

Wow that is a lot of dlc on the jp psn store for this game, including 4 characters

Oh that's a bit disappointing...the original 3 neptunia games had way too much DLC--like, not even just in the "too much moneys" way but the "this is a huge pain in the ass to navigate and understand" way. Also death to free DLC, just patch the content in. Installing free DLC is such a pain on Vita and PS3.

Mine shipped from Amazon, should have it tomorrow, hopefully!

Can't wait, gonna play it exclusively on my PSTV.

Speaking of, I wish HDN:Re1 got patched for PSTV already.

I'll go out on Friday and see if I can actually find this game in any store around here - I have yet to see a single copy of Re;Birth 2 and I think that was supposed to be released at retail across Europe? When NISA was still publishing these games, you'd find them in several of the stores (one actually still has 2 copies of Neptunia PP left), so I'm interested in seeing if IFI can keep that up.

If I do find it, I'll buy. If not, I'll probably wait a while longer, but I'll see about that.

Edit: Also, behold the magnificence of the German box art:

English or japanese voiceovers? Decisions, decisions. Also, is there a trophy for difficulty or could I get the platinum trophy if I just went with easy for the playthrough?

dub is justice, jp voices can get rekt, and no trophies are related to difficulty so feel free to play on asy

so reading a bit on gamefaqs... game is suppose to be real easy even on normal/hard?

and is best buy not stocking this? Wanna use GC discount...

Sold out? Dernit bestbuy. Oh well I got the LE anyway, shame to see a brand new game already sold out though.

Is it easy even on hard? I might play it on hard if that's the case. Is difficulty adjustable midgame? Hoping I get my copy today along with firefly diary. Also any recommendations for PS TV or PS Vita on this one? I'm thinking PS TV since Firefly might benefit from touch and I assume this won't.

Unless you like squeaky people saying "Naypuu naypuuuuuu" constantly I would always recommend the english dub of Neptunia games
