Aye. What makes the OP even sillier is that Gears of War probably uses more than 300MB for textures per level just streaming off the DVD. Using the HDD will improve load times and texture pop-in, not texture quality.

You can see the textures draw in on anything 10 or more feet away in Gears. No such problem with UT3 on PS3.
