I've only seen my sister playing it so can't take photos of it myself (I don't own a smartphone in fact haha), but there is one photo I've seen circulating that is pretty representative of the type of content I've seen that is clearly making fun of the whole pathetic types of things that happen in this life:

First of all, Willow Pape is quite obviously a Paris Hilton parody, the game makes that extremely clear. And second of all, look at the nonsense, self-absorbed drama they are drumming up as a necessary component of being apart of this fame whore life.

The entire game is filled with shit like this. The hilarious comments Kardashian makes about your outfits. The comical articles about you in the social media. The gut bursting hilarity of the absurd dates your force yourself to go on, when 99% of them are just as self-absorbed losers as you are and it is made clear the only purpose to even be on the date is so you can be seen by photographers who can make your name incrementally more famous? Non-stop, the entire game is filled with little winking subversive jokes like this the entire game. I cannot interpret it as anything other than a tongue-in-cheek evisceration of the entire fame whore way of life.

dude there's one photo I've seen circulating in an article about this game where it is an actual real gameplay scenario where some seedy photographer might ask you to degrade yourself by getting nude on camera for a little more fame, and you gotta decide to do it or not. But remember: the only point of the game is to try to get more fame. Implicitly, to continue to be a fame whore, you have to sell your fucking soul. That's the whole point of the gameplay, and the developers know it and can't stop nudging you in your stomach to get your attention about how they're doing it.

I am seriously impressed with how cutting the satire appears to be at moments. It's vicious stuff at times.

I mean I certainly do. To me, it all clicked when I started viewing the game as a sort of elaborate old school PC text adventure game. Sure it has a few extra extraneous gameplay elements that are rather boring tacked on top, but the actual fun parts are in reading the foundation of satire/seething writing going on there, the statement that is actually being made as a result of these hilariously self-aware musings, and the choices you make to send your character in whatever direction, which just so happens to be that of the world's biggest fame whore.

MAN I wish someone would do an interview with the director and some of the developers of this game, I really want to see how they act. I'd bet a quarter they'd be just as cynical and tongue-in-cheek in the interview. This is an extremely cynical game as well, as if I need to say that ;)

I mean, I think if you're the type of person who haunts social media sites like twitter for the types of reasons Kim Kardashian does, you're already the type of person who would be oblivious to that type of crushingly obvious satire. That said, they do cover it all up in enough pomp and glitter to actually be able to convincingly deny it if they felt they had to, because it's not like they just come out and say "i need to be in a porno tape so I can continue being famous." But, I mean:

my SERIOUS consensus is that it is really funny, but it is a scam game, so if you can find a way to be patient getting to all the funny due to how slowly your energy builds up over time without paying for the K Coins you'll like it. But if you can't and you start paying for K Coins to up your fame, you'll probably start regretting it pretty fast. No amount of satire can make up for how hard the game is constantly trying to fleece you.

If I were the person who originally uploaded the picture that everyone is posting, I would rehost it and edit my post to link to the new location, and then replace the image at the original location with BBW porn to get everyone else in this thread banned.

I know you're joking, but they wouldn't be banned for something that clearly wasn't their doing. If the image were hosted on a site where that would be possible, said site would just be blacklisted as TinyPic was once recycled URLs began turning the occasional old game screenshot and the like into porn.
