Lovin' the Siren demo though.
Dude, what? The uncharted demo is awesome. If you're playing it like Gears you're doing something wrong. Remember that you can run and gun and beat the shit out of people with hand to had combat.

Uncharted is a very smooth, very polished experience with amazing production values. Its easily the best single player experience on the PS3 (at least until GTA4 comes out).

I'm going to say if you don't like the demo, you wouldn't like the full game. I thought the demo was fairly representative of the full game, and it's understandably not for everyone.

Still... if you don't like it you're just plain weird.

Actually, Uncharted is pretty decent. Not something I'd buy though. Hot Shots Golf is the only PS3 game I bought actually (I also bought Oblivion PS3 but sold it).

I liked Motorstorm; It's definitely fun, but it's lacking some meat around its bones. I'll either pick it up when it gets a budget release, or maybe I'll just wait for Motorstorm 2.

Got Uncharted, Singstar, Ratchet & Clank for free (yay for benefits!), but I haven't popped those games in yet (I have a huge backlog of games). I did play Uncharted at work though.

I've decided my next PS3 purchase is going to be GTAIV. Also looking forward to Little Big Planet, especially the creative part of it.

I disagree. I thought the demo was OK but the full game was great. The demo doesn't show the best of the games graphics, it doesn't show how diverse the environments are, and most importantly it shows very little of the platforming elements (aside from the bit where you're jumping from pillar to pillar). It's also incredibly short and doesn't start from the beginning of the game.

I thought it showed the mechanics and presentation very nicely. The platforming in the game is never really intense in any sense (except for that annoying damn follow the numbers area >:( And that's intense for the wrong reasons, I'd say. It just bugged me) and the pillars kind of shows you what you'll get. You have some enemies. You have some funny Drake commentary. It's a little slice of everything. I mean obviously it isn't the best of everything, but how could it have been?

Plus you'll be doing so much shooting in the game I'm almost convinced if you don't enjoy it in the demo, you'll never enjoy it.

I'd say it's representative, but still pales when compared to the full game.

I agree. I think the story really pushes the game in a significant way. Great characters. The demo barely has that factor.

Sporsk am no longer mod?

When did this happen?!

Anyway I will add you and hope to find you online so I can headshot you with my AK-102

Uncharted was great, very memorable but the best thing about it is its such a great engine/first attempt that a sequel could be very special. I cant wait to see one, they could easily double the length now that most of the work is out of the way, add better/harder platforming, and just add add add, maybe even team based multiplayer. Imagine CTF in uncharted.

This is what I didn't like about people saying Uncharted doesn't need multiplayer - they sound like apologists, because multiplayer with Uncharted would be the best fucking thing ever. Seriously. It doesn't need it, no, but if it had it? Ho. Lee. Shit. And I don't even like online gaming.

Yeah the numbers bit confused the hell out of me at the time. I kept going the wrong way and then falling off the ledges, or getting hit by a bit of the mine machinery.

I actually wasn't all that impressed by the Uncharted demo either, but I did end up buying the full game, and was very glad I did.

Having loved the full game, when I look back at the demo I think there are two reasons why the demo doesn't resonate as much as it should:

1. You're dropped into the middle of the story with only a very meagre setup. Playing Uncharted is like being in the middle of an action movie, and the unfolding story is what gives the whole game its impetus. You don't get any sense of that from the demo, it just feels lifeless.

2. You're faced with one of the tougher shootouts of the game without a proper build-up in terms of coming to grip with the mechanics, which just makes things frustrating. Once you get a handle on the shooting in Uncharted, it's incredibly satisfying. Pop-up, headshot, vault the wall, running dive to a pillar, switch to shottie, lean out and BOOM send another guy cartwheeling through the air... magic :D

Man I am envious of you..... I want a PS3 as well.... However here in Europe the buying options are not so good. Plus the price of 40GB is rather high, SCEE please cut the price.....

uh also buy PS Eye with Tori-Imaki

MotorStorm Complete ( May 22 for japan ) will have all DLCs that available on PS store included on disc and for $ 49 .

I expect MS to stay a worthwile release after MS2, because of the different settings and tracks. Racing games in the desert has never been so wild.

Every Playstation 3 Owner is Uncharted Fan.

Definition:

Uncharted fan, synonym for P L A Y S T AT I O N 3 Owner/User . The term first went into
practice when a NeoGAF member called warrior300, boldy replied to another members post.
SCE has since encorporated the use of the term and patented it only for P L A Y S T AT I O N 3 Owners.

Wrong.

I liked it better when it was called Tomb Raider. :D

Warhawk!

What is the friends limit? I've added everyone who added me.

Cool, I'm going to try to add you to my friend list too Sporsk so hopefully you'll accept when you get it.

I think sp0rsk is the first person I have ever added on my own to PSN or XBL or steam. I really should start adding people, I think there are threads on the online forum where they have lists of people who are there.

well damn, it says its full on his side. So much for that.
