I found a vagina in Watch Dogs 2 and Sony suspended me (Update: Ban lifted)

maybe thats not textured by Ubi. They might have purchased the 3d human model online (and yes it come textured with vagina) , model clothes on it, rig and then animate it.

As to why will that come texture with vagina, well that same 3d model can also be purchased by medical, science, art institutions etc for human anatomy studies and other uses.

And yes its a common practice in the game industry. Nearly every AAA studios does that.

Lol then why did they slap some crotchless panties on her?

Thinks buying more servers can fix a bad patch

I can only give you my guess on why it might have been added in without any texturing effort from Ubi, i cant give you an answer for this.

Seems right to me:

Besides, this is what most parents will actually see before purchasing the game:

If that doesn't make you think your kid shouldn't play this, I don't know what to say to you.

The game features a fully naked man jerking off in an alley. It's clearly intentional.

...you don't know what you're talking about.

I have no problem with this. Does the game come with a day one patch? Might actually get the disc version just to own this before they patch it up and apologise to the parents who bought this game for their underaged kid.

"Content Descriptors: Blood, Intense Violence, Nudity, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Drugs"

Absolutely no problem with this.

Headshot with a shotgun? Fine
Showing a vagina or Dick? Fuck no

American culture

I'm not prolonging this due to personal thoughts on beliefs, I'm talking about the esrb rating and it's wordage and how it is blatantly wrong.

I could give a shit less about its content and I'd also encourage more adult type things in games. But if you're going to do it, put it out there so the wordage in its rating is proper.

Autocorrect.

It obviously isn't literally rape. I just don't see why you need a detailed vagina on a video game corpse, other than to giggle at it or whatever. But I think it's firmly in "weirdly sexualized" territory.

You can see vaginas on live female NPCs too. It's weird that you're trying to tie this to dead NPCs.

I am starting to really like this game as a big fuck you to the ESRB and regressive censorship in gaming. Hopefully this means we get to kill kids in the next TES.

Edit: cannot wait to read about it soon on your favorite website. This will be on Kotaku in 3...2...1...

I completely and utterly disagree with this. There are people that are going to play this game weather it's kids or necrophiliacs that are now all of the sudden going to make it their own personal achievement to kill a woman just to see their vagina. This is different, and regardless to what some people think of this, it's important to point out that to many people this is weird as fuck, and to me its weird as fuck that it got through q & a.

A think it's weird as fuck that people are worried about anatomically correct Barbie and Ken dolls ruining children's minds when mixed into their murder simulators.

I just don't understand a world where tits are okay, but vaginas and penises are taboo. It's such an MPAA way of looking at the world.

It is brief, unless you, the player go out of your way to ogle up women's dresses or their corpses in the game. It would be like describing GTA 4 as a billiards simulator because you spent 40 hours of playtime playing bar games.

Seems right to me:

It can be brief or not brief. Whatever dude.

Besides, this is what most parents will actually see before purchasing the game:

Agree.

Agree

You're first thought is where we differ. It's OK though.

It has a word for word description of the kind of situation in which nudity appears: "(e.g., a woman in body paint; a man standing with a woman outdoors)". Obviously, knowing that this is an open-world game, you would know that you can look at these characters up close, or kill them and look at their dead bodies. It really is an apt description.

But it IS brief, unless you seek it out. Not brief would mean you being forced to look at it for a prolonged period of time in a cutscene or something.

I mean... If I had a kid, I probably wouldn't let them near any crazy violent stuff until they turned 10, and even then I'd keep it at low tone stuff. But sex? Jesus, I'd rather find antique Playboy or Playgirl mags under my kid's bed then have them play Doom (2016) or watch Rambo.

I think our American culture of being all about how awesome and cool violence is, but "don't talk about sex or you'll burn forever" is stupid.

"Let's fight the system of crippling censorship by putting the game into that very system we're rallying against and come out with zero issues whatsoever! YEAH, ANARCHY!"

Really? Did you read that whole thing? Not once do you see in the esrb that you can stare at crotchless pantied dead hooker.

I'm not trying to play Devils advocate here but let's be real. It's there and can be visualized for as long as you're looking at it, so it's not brief. And it's weird.

I hope people like you never get to positions of power.

The game contains some sexual material: a man selling child pornography over the phone (no sexual acts or nudity depicted); a strip club depicting pole dancers and topless women; brief instances of male and female full-frontal nudity (e.g., a woman in body paint; a man standing with a woman outdoors). During the course of the game, characters are depicted smoking marijuana and using needles to inject themselves with drugs; in one sequence, the player's screen warps and blurs after consuming mushrooms laced with acid

Out of these the thing that triggers you is human nudity, especially vaginas. Off to ignore list you go.

I didn't know you can be suspended for sharing something within a game. I mean the games are approved for launch, so as long as Sony stands behind a game they have released on their console, why wouldn't they stand behind one sharing its content?

I figured when they mention pornographic materials, it was like uploading outside images or something.

Seems pretty hypocritical marketing games to consumers like Watch Dogs 2 and The Witcher 3, but if you share content within a game they are marketing, they'll suspend you.

I don't even remember if there was outage at the fact that you could get high and drunk in GTAV. Or the fact that you can eat Peyote.

...also who the fuck mixes shrooms and acid, that's a recipe for mind melting, and it isn't all that fun.

It's okay that he put me on the ignore list. I want to point out that I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion on beliefs. What I want is proper wordage from the esrb. I believe it would have been different if whoever censored this game would have known that you could murder a woman and then stare at her vagina without the presence of the crotch part of the modern panty. I don't think that this was something that the esrb was aware of. Believe me when I say that I'm not trying to fight with anyone, I just want it to be right.

I get what you are saying but would that not be a near impossible task when dealing with an open world game with near limitless possibilities? Does the rating information for The Sims mention all the disturbing stuff you can do in that game?

I think nows the time for a best private parts in games thread.

Outlast is number 1 imo.

Spore's only redeeming quality.

Screw the vagina... oh wait... what I think is messed up is; its in the game, fine, Sony allowed it in the game, but you can't take and share pictures of it. That's some bull shit.

I wonder what MS would do.

The game is approved for playstation that doesn't mean it's twitter approved, it could very well be Sony nipping any potential complaints/lawsuits from twitter, not too different to why youtube deals with copyrights on their platform.
