Women gamers (my wife included) love him. He is pretty much the most revered male "romancable" NPC ever. He has (HAD, I hope) a legion of fangirls. No, I'm not making this up.
This is not exactly an illustrious list, and it is entirely from Bioware because insofar as I know there haven't been any major jRPGs with female main characters and optional romance sidequests / dialogue.
His dialogue from a male Revan perspective is just lame and whiny and annoying, and the character has little redeeming quality. But then again, Bastila comes off pretty bad in the female game, so it breaks even, I think.
If Revan is female his dialogue and your response options are like 1000x better.
