First I don't believe this for a second.

Second if it is true this would rank as one of the biggest pussy moves I have ever heard of it. I've seen some pussy moves but punching out a geek in the PS3 line to impress a chick is about the weakest. Do you man up to guys in wheelchairs and senior citizens? :lol

So what would you do if somebody insulted a girl(doesn't even have to be a girlfriend) that you were with? Are you French, by chance?

You're pathetic. Risking jail time just to impress some skanky tease?

A million to one you wouldn't have touched him if he was 6'8" and black. >_>

Beating up a geek to impress a girl = lame.

I also bet you haven't f*cked her by now... I know this story is bullshit but incase it's not, you're whack.

You sound a little crazy yourself there bud.

Most women I hang out with can handle this kind of thing. Considering the fact that there are dudes out there that will hit on crack whores digging through the ditch, 99% of women have dealt with this shit since puberty. Any guy that has every dated a half way decent looking women has learned to handle this stuff with a smile or a nod. The simple smile that means thats right you would buddy and I think I'll do exactly that as soon as I'm done here.

You will one day run into a guy that can talk shit and fight. I've seen too many boyfriends and husbands get their asses kicked in clubs trying to act like Superman.

First off, this wasn't a crack whore. This girl has a regular job, just as the original poster stated... She told the guy to f-off when he made his first comment, thus she stuck up for herself. If somebody insults your date, you stand up for her. That's not what being macho is about, it's about teaching a jackass to treat a lady with respect.
I don't know about you, but if somebody told a girl I was with, "I'll **** your boyfriend after I'm done ****ing you," I'd do the exact same thing, not because I want to impress her to express my "machismo", but because it's the right thing to do.

Geek or no geek, do you think its okay for someone to make crass sexual remarks at strangers passing by?

It doesn't matter, the minute you hit him first, the law will be on his side. No pussy is worth serving jail time. Simple really.

First, any chick dropin F bombs over that is not rolling with me. I don't need that kind of hassle. Just because the guy was acting like an idiot doesn't give her the right too. My wife used to be a flight attendant, and I can not count the number of times guys hit on her in my presence and can not imagine how often when she was working. Its just one of those things. I have yet to ever say or do anything. Any women worth dating is going to be able to handle this with out shouting obscenities like a 2 dollar whore. If she does, the guy can have her cause I sure as shit don't want her.

Be truthful, it depends on what the guy is or his body type. I doubt your machismo will take you so far if some 300+ fatass Samoan was insulting your date.

You equate violence with teaching. =\ You assume it's your responsibility to do the "teaching."

Of course it's about machismo. The world is full of dumbasses. If you went around punching everybody that you thought needed a lesson of some sort, then you'd never get out of jail/hospital.

this is true, plus the girl can speak for herself. She can defend herself. way too many people are acting like any woman who is offended will collapse and start crying on the street.

Exactly. He would be in jail or in the hospital because he ran into the wrong guy. You can't beat everybody, it's impossible, but some guys think they can when somebody insults a girl.

:lol

It becomes societys' job to do the "teaching" because their parents are too damn lazy to do it while they're growing up...
The fact that parents, nowadays, are too scared to discipline their children and teach them the difference between right and wrong is one that is leading this country to a bad place.

This is a whole different topic, though. The geek got what he deserved and those of you defending him should let your parents know how horrible of a job they did in not teaching you when to take a stand.

so, to take a stand you have to use physical violence?

Let me start by saying that I am not a violent person by nature. I was escorting a girl that works near me for lunch at the local Jack Astor's. She works at the Telus tower near the Scarborough Town Centre and we visited the Best Buy near there afterwards as she was looking to buy an iPod.

There were about 10-15 guys lined up for a PS3 and she was wearing a short skirt. One of the geeks made a remark about wanting to "do" her and I ignored this because she told him to "eff off". The same geek then said "I'll **** your boyfriend after I'm done ****ing you"...

Well that was it. I approached him and told him to repeat it and he did so I knocked him out. I expected at least some of the other geeks/guys to jump in but nobody did.

Needless to say it did ruin the rest of my work day and I'm a bit worried that the security cameras might have gotten the plates of the girl I was with.

Just needed to vent here on GAF I suppose....

Did you **** him afterwards to teach him a lesson ? :lol

No, you don't always have to rely on physical violence. In the same position, I would have did the same thing as the original poster. How would you have handled it?

Bullshit, don't come with that. My military father did plenty of teaching to me and I grew up knowing to respect women (or anybody for the matter).

So stop assuming. You only hit when someone is attacking you or you feel your life is in danger. Waiting outside of Best Buy while a geek makes a pass at your friend doesn't fit the two scenarios.

Well my point is that you wouldn't punch out anybody that was being a dumbass in some other way beyond making catcalls....you don't go around punching people talking too loud on their cellphones or cutting in line at the movies. This attitude that it's your right and duty to "teach" someone with violence only seems to apply here. That's because of the machismo-element.
It becomes societys' job to do the "teaching" because their parents are too damn lazy to do it while they're growing up...
This is a poor justification for being a self-styled vigilante.

MUST IMPRESS THE FEMALE!

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
I once shot a geek who made a snide comment about my masculinity while standing in line for the Gamecube launch. Then his girlfriend and I had hot nasty sex on his corpse while Gamestop clerks peppered me with promotional t-shirts. I later married that woman, only to have to murder her for mocking my Wii reservation. I often find myself wondering when the violence will end...

Anyways, if the story is true, I probably would've been cheering you on...while taking secret upskirt pictures with my cellphone camera. Morons like that needs to learn the repercussions of their actions. The next time he sees a girl in a short skirt, maybe he'll wet his pants and cringe a little, possibly requiring years of sexual therapy. Again, if it happened.

girl told him to **** off, and the dude was tied to his line so why hassle? It's not like you can teach everybody who's an asshole the right thing. When the geek has been punched enough times he's just gonna start to throw in punches as well, and then nobody's gonna learn anything else than the strongest is right.

If you really wanna take him down a notch, toss some fluid at him. always a winner. especially in this instance, since he has to stand in line forever.

You know that I didn't mean that everybody is like that, though it is the way that alot of people are going.
What the geek said wasn't a pass, it was an insult to both the girl and the guy.

I disagree on your first point, after being punched I think he'll think twice about insulting somebody again like that. Like somebody said earlier, it was probably some loser that talks trash over Xbox Live while not worrying about consequences.
The water idea is a pretty nice one, though. ;-)

Seriously, you wouldn't last long here in Miami. I get it everyday down here. In the grocery store, gas station, traffic, etc.

People are retards sometimes or they could be having a bad day. I shrug it off, nothing more. Life is hard as it is, why make it harder?
