I tried a Monster Energy Drink

Those are even more expensive and taste worse.
If you're not a fan of the original try these. Delicious.

Yellow is especially good.

Monster rehab is the way to go. Every version is delicious, especially the pink lemonade one. 20 calories per can 7g of sugar or less depending on the flavor.

Only energy drink I've ever had that didn't taste like battery acid.

Their Absolute Zero flavors are pretty good. I'll typically have two over the weekend. 2-3 cups of dark roast coffee in the morning during the week.

I've tried a Monster once and thought it was disgusting. Honestly if you want energy just down a 5-hour energy. They work pretty much as described.

I am sorry but you have permanently altered your brain.

You will never again feel 100% without caffeine in your system.

tl;dr: you are fucked for life

Well, it still has those energy enhancing substances, but with zero caffeine:

Glucose
Taurine
Panax Ginseng
L-Carnitine
L-Arginine
Glucuronolactone
Inositol
Maltodextrin
Plus a B-Vitamin blend

I used to get really bad caffeine headaches from not having it in the morning. Ive cleaned up my addiction since then but I wonder if this stuff is habit forming also.

I tried a Peach Rehab and it was good but I like the fizzy carbonation of regular Monster.

The same reason why I don't do caffeine pills instead: it doesn't taste like Monster.

Red Bull Yellow is superior, give that a go.

My coworker drinks multiple Monsters a day, he seems to be doing ok.

I tried a tropical. It was good, but again it's more expensive, has less caffeine, and found the taste inferior to Monster.

I will never understand why people who down Monsters constantly don't just switch to caffeine pills.

It's easier and cheaper. The caffeine content is roughly the same, plus you can split a pill if you don't need the entire dose.

I did this, when i slept bad and had to work early while still studying.
Worked nice, but i switched back to drinking coffee now that i work as a programmer because its more of a social thing people talk about their weekends and shit.

I tend to have a can of Monster or Relentless on days I work, but then I work 12 hour shifts with a 60-90 minute drive home afterwards, having been up since 4am. So...yeah, a 500ml can of Monster/Relentless helps give me a bit of a buzz to get back home.

I didn't drink energy drinks when I was in high school and college but once I joined the military it became a small addiction of mine. Everybody drinks energy drinks here because of the lifestyle, our stores on base constantly restock them because of high demand. I started off with Monsters and then switched over to Red Bulls because I liked the taste better (Lime and Tropical are the best flavors in my opinion). Now I just drink coffee and the occasional Red Bull because I'm getting old.

You're the first person I've heard call it disgusting. Remind me to ignore your food/drink advice.

I guess when I read 'tropical' I was expecting something fruit-punchy, not mango adulterated with caffeine bitterness. That said, it wasn't as gross as Rockstar Organic, which may have been the most disgusting drink I've ever had.

I drank Red Bull and Monster before on separate occasions. I didn't really drink them for energy; I was just thirsty and wanted a soda-like beverage. It didn't taste bad, but I didn't feel a high or anything. Felt like just a soda to me. I'm glad I don't feel the need to drink an energy drink every day. But I should definitely drink more water. I drink too many beverages that aren't water.

I drink about 2 cans a week but always the sugar free or reduced calorie versions.

This is my current fav:

20 calories in the can and it tastes awesome.

Generally, I just stick to coffee and diet soda.
Holy shit, a Peach Tea Rehab?
I'm gonna have to track one down when I get back to the country. We just got the Black Cherry flavored Ultras, I guess Ultra Blacks? Not bad but I don't foresee myself adding them to the Yellow Rehabs, Pink Rehabs, Ultra Blues, Ultra Reds, and Zero Ultras that I already drink.

My favorite are the Black Ice nitrous Monsters. I only know of one place that sells them back home. I had a couple back in January after not drinking one for a couple years. Still the best...

Oh hold up, I forgot; we are on the internet. OP: Monster Energy Drinks???!!! Those are terrible for you!!! Water is the only good thing for you and it tastes good to boot! If you are going to continue drinking yourself into an early grave, promise that you will never drink a Monster whilst eating Taco Bell. The explosive diarrhea combined with heart palpitations is sure to cause instant death.

Energy drinks seem to get a pretty bad rep, not sure why.
It's not really much different from drinking coffee from what I can tell. Some days I've had 4 cans of monster, some days 4 cups of coffee. And then I can go days with out any as well. It's just caffeine.
Well, I mean the sugar and stuff isn't good for you, but not much different from pop there.

Best decision I've made in my life is quit drinking energy drinks. Eventually they no longer provide you with a buzz, and you suddenly find yourself relying on a steady supply just to get through the day. Oh, and good riddance to those fucking headaches, man.

I cannot drink energy drinks. I can take a few sips of them, before I've had enough. Too sweet for me. People used to give out Red Bull at my undergrad, and I will say that a small Red Bull can be nice when I have to get work done and it's too late for coffee.

Ive been there with Full Throttle energy drinks on two separate occasions in my life. It just got to a point where i felt like i needed one every morning.

Its a dangerous game, friend! Best of luck on weening yourself off that shit.

The cherry Red Bulls are amazing mixed with the Sangrita Blast Mountain Dew from Taco Bell.

Taco Bell had their own mixer on the fountain graphic. It was half Baja Blast, half Sangrita Blast, and topped off with a little Orange Mango Brisk Tea. It actually tasted amazing. I tried Sangrita Blast by itself and it's easily the worst tasting Dew ever.

Have any of you tried this one? Chocolate version.

It's very rare. I only see it at gas stations and Wal Mart but I love it. I replaced my morning coffee with it. I drink it almost every day.

The chocolate one is disgusting. Only decent one to me was the peanut butter cup one. The chocolate is good until the after taste comes and makes you almost puke.

OP, you like the taste of energy drinks? I drink them and I don't even like the taste. The fake sugar in the zero one are especially gross. Fake sweetener had such a gross after taste.
