IBM Canada is having a sale, and I have been looking at this laptop. I am not exactly sure of what "IBM 11 a/b Wi-Fi wireless" means, hopefully it means it can connect on the internet wirelessly, thus enabling me to take advantage of my campus wireless service. Anyways, just wondering if this is a good buy for the price (Canadian dollars). R-series are pretty thick.
Not huge, but simply not as sexy as the T-series (and especially X-series, but that's totally different!). But that seems to be a pretty ok price...

I'm not positive, but "IBM 11 a/b Wi-Fi wireless" probably means 801.11a/b. 802.11a isn't very common, 802.11b is the most common and is what "wifi" generally refers to. This laptop doesn't seem to support 802.11g, which is faster, but that's ok...802.11b is the most common.
