If Darth Maul is alive, why isn't Mace Windu?

Maul's the fucking best since they brought him back. In Rebels, he's become such a persistent asshole to the Ghost Crew.

Kanan: "Just...just fuck off Maul!"

Best part is that Maul had to ride up with Ahsoka. Talk about awkward.

a little off topic but damn @ that ground texture, literally flat. supposed to be a dirt arena, not a single 3d rock or pebble. almost a dozen people stomping around and no dust. stretched out low-res ps1 era work. sad!

lol love people making these types of claims.

The ground/dirt was the only real thing in that scene, the ground was not CG. There are countless vids and pics of the making of EP2, that was the real ground they were on and the rest was blue screen

Don't forget to watch Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars either. Those were fucking awesome action cartoons especially if you want to see Mace Windu whooping some whole sale ass.

He even shows off he learned Hokuto no Ken.

I love how he also leaps across a battlefield to the top of an enemy weapon, yet can't survive a fall in the films.

I'm gunna be honest with you, I'm a huge SW fan and I didn't know he lived through.. being chopped in half and falling down a shaft? Lol.. wow. I always knew he was in Clones but I didn't realize he was actually alive after his "death" in TPM. That's some Glenn dumpster diving shit right there.

Never seen Clones past S2 or any of Rebels.

There is an two part episode with younger Tarkin in TCW that I think is the best directed non Asoka episode of the show iirc.

The fact that the show doesn't occur in chronological order is what gave us gems like that. There are fantastic small stories here and there even in season 1.

People insulting both the amazing Genndy Clone Wars and the amazing later seasons of CGI Clone Wars. SMH.

"So, uh, how do you feel about Obi-Wan Kenobi?"

Rebels you can avoid, but there is some minor Vader stuff that is interesting.

Clones past S2 is the BOMBA!

You see Anakin at the height of his powers (which he never uses in the movies). He is so far beyond any Jedi or Sith when he takes on the Light and Dark side manifestations of the force.

And one of my fav episodes is the final episode of Clone Wars with Yoda. Some fantastic stuff that really gives depth to the characters.

The chronological order was a little scattered for the first two and a half seasons. Where the Nightsisters episodes begin is when the order becomes more linear, and Tarkin first appears in the later episodes of season 3, during the Citadel arc.

TV show has toys to sell (Maul is huge for merch as others said), and Sam Jackson wanted a badass death scene which I suppose it was. Wouldn't be too surprised to see a Mace Windu cameo for the inevitable Obi-Wan movie though, whether its CGI or a ghost

Unless he survived his death he wouldn't know how to become a Ghost.

Rebels mostly sucks. Shame disney decided to completely screw over Leia and Wedge both of whom would be canon relevant teenagers at the time.

Still the Ashoka vs Vader fight in the S2 Finale is really great.

Rebels covered both of them.

Leia is a representative of the senate, how is she supposed to constantly be involved in this stuff.
She does what she can in secret.

I never could stand the settings of spinning yoda and bitchy Anakin.

Then you add the terrible god awful art of TCW. I can't stand 5 mins of it.

Then you got people putting list of episodes to watch because most of it is garbage it seems.

I'll pass.

More power to those who like it though, To each his own.

It's a long show. Plenty of long running shows have episode guides because people only want to watch the top notch stuff. I actually used one for Gilmore Girls recently because I wanted to catch up before the new series.

There's quite a bit of top notch stuff in the later seasons of TCW.

Leia's cover as a Senate representative allows her the perfect cover to be a spy. As a senator she would be constantly traveling around the galaxy, teaming up with localised resistance groups, comitting heists, going undercover ect. Ashoka is now her bodyguard/protector/mentor as Anakin was to Ashoka. She is also the owner of C3P0 and R2D2.

Anything that a James Bond or Black Widow does. Thats Leia. Which is far more interesting to me then anything happening with the current main rebels cast.

And what does Wedge do?

I need him to be cool again before I decide if I'll watch.

Him and his group of Imperial cadets are fed up with the Empire and are getting ready to defect, Empire finds out about this so The Rebels send Sabine undercover to make sure everything goes all right.
Hasn't shown him again in 6 episodes because it hasn't focused much on fleet stuff in a bit.

Probably coming back a good bit in the back half of the season going by the trailer.

So basically Sabine is Leia

I'm going to repost this for a new page, because every Star Wars fan should really check it out:

If anyone is interested in seeing why people love that they brought Darth Maul back, please watch the Mandalore arc from The Clone Wars. It's on Netflix and easily accessible. It is up there with the OT for Star Wars stories, imo.

Here's what you'd need to watch:

  1. The Mandalore Plot s2e12
  2. Voyage of Temptation s2e13
  3. Duchess of Mandalore S2E14
  4. Night Sisters s3e12
  5. Monster S3e13
  6. Witches of the Mist s3e14
  7. Heroes on both Sides s3e10
  8. Corruption s3e5
  9. The Academy s3e6
  10. A Friend in Need s4e14
  11. Massacre s4e19
  12. Brothers s4e21
  13. Revenge s4e22
  14. Revival s5e1
  15. Eminence s5e14
  16. Shades of Reason s5e15
  17. The Lawless s5e16

So I can watch just these episodes?

If you only care about the Darth Maul/Mandalore plot, yes.

It -is- in my opinion the best long running story arc in the show though.

I'm unclear- have you actually watched the show? Because whiny Anakin and spinning Yoda are largely only movie things. Anakin is surprisingly non-whiny for the vast majority of the show. And Yoda is primarily used in his (proper) mentor role throughout the show instead of the backflipping frog from AotC and RotS.

It's kind of confusing early on, though, especially when the recaps mix in chronologically past events that you never saw with clips from prior episodes. Like, even in one of the very first episodes, there's a recap clip of Anakin fighting with Dooku that isn't from any episode before or after.

Every episode has a "recap" segment at the beginning voiced by Yularen, even episodes at the beginning of arcs or that are standalone. They're the show's equivalent of the title crawl that's in front of the films. I think it's a neat touch and I liked it a lot.

Okay people in here and in general are hyping up the CGI Clone Wars but every time I try to get into it it's just kind of ugly? It's never really all that visually exciting and that sort of kills it for me, does that change as it goes on later?

The animation gets better over time along with general technical improvements, but the art style never changes.

The budget increased to "whatever the fuck they want to do" level in Season 3. The animation and quality notably improves around there, and continues to approve. Season 5 and 6 are some of the best CG animation you've ever seen and probably will see for quite a while. It does maintain that art style though.

I think its weird

1. He died from the fall
2. He was hunted down like most Jedi (except Obi and Yoda)
3. Lived

statically chances are not great, plus wouldn't Luke found him, he seems to have prediction skills like emperor in ep4.
