VR still requires way too much effort, think about it. End of a working day are you really going to want to put a VR headset on?

The market is still way too small even if every poor owns a meta quest.
I hear what you're saying and you're definitely not wrong. However, that's the nature of VR and it's one of those things you actually come to appreciate after a time, that is if you truly enjoy VR and make a habit out of it.

I honestly really enjoy standing up and playing, not all games require it but if the game is designed for standing, I won't even consider playing seated. Playing a standing game in seated mode is a horrible experience for me.

Finding the sweet spot for visuals in the headset, muscle memory with inventory and manual reloading, getting your sea legs, it's all things you master as you play VR more and more. The hardest part at times with VR is how effing scary the games can be. Something like Propagation: Paradise Hotel is legit terrifying beyond reason. It's one of those things you cannot get people to understand until they've played the game themselves.

VR has a lot of things going against it when it comes to the masses not understanding it, but it also has a ton of things in it's favor if you take to VR gaming and start to explore what it has to offer. It truly is so amazing to be inside the videogame. I'm kind of numb to it now but there are still games that blow my mind. Madison VR is releasing soon too and I'm legit nervous to play it, that game is going to be intense!

I would not want VR as my daily driver. The effort isn't the issue for me, I mean, it takes less than a minute to have the headset on and in a game. The issue is isolation. However, isolation is also a pro. On days I want to zone out and focus on a game instead of multitasking or having others around, VR provides an awesome and unique experience.

I unironically think the complete lack of VR porn hurt PSVR2. One thing about guys is they love whacking off.
Consoles will never have porn, VR or otherwise.

Yes.

(Currently I play Asgard's Wrath 2 every night after coming home from work)

Yes, it's the people who bought PSVR2's fault. The idiots.
Isn’t this like the chicken or egg situation, people who bought it did so on the prospect of Sony supporting it, Sony supporting it is based on how well it sold. It’s not the customers fault if they purchased it in the hopes that it would be supported by a multi billion pound company, especially if they were to add br compatibility to titles already in development.

Although Sony do have a history in not supporting other hardware they have released so caution should have been considered.

Ironically Microsoft now bringing games to play station would be a great car experience as many of their titles would be excellent for that experience (elder scrolls, grounded, fallout, flight sim etc)

Not sure if they would want to do that though as it would make the ps5 versiob a superior experience for people even if they don’t have vr as an option on their own console.

I only have a PSVR 1 as my only headset and I still think it’s great. Biggest thing to happen to gaming since mario 64.

They launch a brand new hardware peripheral and been consistently seeking 3rd party as well as building first-party support and we got IGN writing a doomsday article about it?

If there was any sign that they were building first-party support, there would be no need for this article.

Sony released its two internally-produced PSVR2 franchise titles (one of which was a modification of a pre-existing standard-display game,) and then for over a year now have brought out or announced no new PSVR2 titles or modifications by its own studios. (Sony did produce Firewall Ultra, a sequel to the PS exclusive VR shooter by First Contact Entertainment; this was the last game from the studio before they closed offices, stating in their shutdown statement that, "The lack of support for VR within the industry has eventually taken its toll.")

The Third-Party relations team has done a good job signing PC VR and Quest developers to bring their games to PlayStation (though I wonder how difficult that is to sign when VR with how the compact the VR market is,) but if you're buying PlayStation VR for popular PlayStation games, there at the moment is little indication that you'll be getting new games from Sony Interactive Entertainment.
