IGN - Mass Effect: Andromeda: A Tour of the Nexus

The Krogan's voice really did catch me by surprise, though it's a welcome change of pace.

That operations lady's voice acting seemed really bad, like she was just reading from a script without even trying to make it sound organic. Hope that's just one bit that's bad though.

Yeah she has a weird lack of emotion. Bioware games usually have pretty good voice acting so I'm not too worried about it but that wasn't very impressive

Guess we made a thread at the same time lol

A female Krogan? Hmm. At this point in the ME timeline, why would they let a female leave for an expedition?

And I swear that voice message was Ali Hillis. It might not be Liara but it definitely sounds like Ali.

edit: I guess hardly anyone here played ME3 to know female Krogan exist.

I think I read about the female Krogan on the Nexus before, so the voice didn't catch me by surprise. The faces though are hard to ignore - they are very off putting somehow, like how it seems only the mouth moves but everything else is frozen. With how much time we are going to be spending looking at faces in this game its a little worrying. Addison is particularly egregious with a combination of being human and with big glass eyes so it stands out more.

I am glad that there is a Citadel-like hub to snoop around in. I hope its more akin to ME1 than the sequels, sans elevators.

Sure seems so! Voice of an AI? Or actually involved with daddy Ryder in the past? Or neither and I'm way off base.

I'd think since the dad is an N7 operative then he would have to have some kind of knowledge over Shepard's team and access to their files.

Serious dead eyes in some of the convos there but meh. I don't get complaints about the Krogan voice, she sounds fine to me.

I wonder how open the Nexus is. I would prefer something sprawling more like ME1 rather than ME3's sectioned off approach.

The crafting system has me oddly excited even though I usually dislike crafting in games.

That voice is totally fine for a female Krogan. The face of that human lady looks really off though. Oh well, I guess that is to be expected from a Bioware game at this point. Still looking forward to it.

the ark looks way huger than the nexus though!

Can't really find any material to show it properly but:

There's four Arks and the Nexus is built upon arrival (I believe).

Okay. So you're complaining about the voice of a fictional reptilian female alien? Right. Now it feels like a Mass Effect thread.

I don't like the voice for the character. Am I not allowed to have an opinion? lol. Jeezus. Defensive much?
