It's an online poll with barely any significance yet somehow the salt is real.
one thing i thought it was lacking was some smash bros. kiosks. there was room where captain toad, yoshi, and mario maker was being shown where they could have put in some of those.

But nothing in this poll suggests that Nintendo "stole the show with no room for debate", only that they did better than Microsoft and Sony. And you compared those people to a group that committed murder-suicide for having a perfectly normal opinion based on most reactions. They aren't being unreasonable in saying that Nintendo did better than Sony or Microsoft, which is why such a saying is entirely inappropriate as well, especially since you opened your original post with it and doubled down on it afterwards.
If your first thought to praise for Nintendo is that anyone who agrees with it is willing to kill others and themselves over it then there's something seriously wrong with you. And pointing out what you did isn't being sensationalist.
It's an internet poll. Utterly meaningless.
Has there ever been an e3 in which sales for any console skyrocketed in the next month or two?People who actually buy games are by and large not buying the Wii U or its games.
GAF is not equivalent to a nonscientific poll on IGN.
GAF is NOT a good representation of gamers in general all around the world.
Nothing has changed for Nintendo since E3. They are still selling very few consoles and too few games.
Has there ever been an e3 in which sales for any console skyrocketed in the next month or two?
Serious question. Obvious I am not meaning launch of a console.
It's still only an internet poll on a dedicated gaming website.
I love how they didn't get the Mother 3 joke where they're just shitting on the press.

Very surprised by the amount of love Nintendo is getting for their show. I thought Microsoft and Sony eclipsed Nintendo in terms of quality gaming content. Hyrule Warriors looked awful to me, Splatoon looked good to very good but not exactly riveting. The only real star of the show was Zelda which was expected, but shown in such limited capacity.
When you have considerably less multiplatform and indie content to show off, you really need to bring a hell of a lot more on the exclusives front, especially with respect to new IP or surprises, of which there were barely any.
U do know, Ninty just announced, new open world Legend of Zelda for Wii U right? And Smash Bros? Hell even 3D world just come out right???
I also agree that CGI trailers are crappy and need to get far less air time, but by the same token they also give me a glimpse of what to expect, or at least the premise of a new game or IP. Long as I'm getting a new game that's the main thing.I don't get how you can love 3 and a half hours worth of cgi teasers, but not like hours of real gameplay. But this is summed up by Zelda being note worthy for you, even though it had the least amount of air time out of every single game they showed. Don't get the quality remark either, unless you mean strictly graphically.
But that's a false promise half the time, or have the backlash threads on this forum not gotten your attention? Nintendo should be commended for showing purely gameplay, except Zelda of course. Especially in this world of in-engine bullshot teasers.also agree that CGI trailers are crappy and need to get far less air time, but by the same token they also give me a glimpse of what to expect, or at least the premise of a new game or IP. maybe more in fact than in Nintendo's.
I can guarantee this, as I don't know if Nintendo showed a game that wasn't exclusive, and I appreciate that. I don't need to see 3rd party games to get a system, I need exclusives to get the system, otherwise I'd stick to PC.

A game is a game, but if someone is spending time selling someone else's work instead of their own, I think they have nothing to show. A 30 second clip of what Bloodborne could be some day doesn't cut it.A game is a game at the end of the day. Doesn't matter if it's exclusive or not so long as it's great. Anything else is just semantics.
And the PC argument doesn't always cut it because many people don't game on PC, and some multiplatform games aren't releasing on PC either, Eg Destiny.
So I'm not supposed to expect Uncharted 4 to look like that even though they claim it's in-engine at 60fps? Why would they waste their time then? ANd why would you give merit to such blatant lies if thats the case.If people are expecting games to look as good as CGI, they're simply being naive.
Which makes it far worse. Especially since all 3 were supposed to be 'true' next gen experiences, and specifically boasted about their graphical prowess. But continue to think that has as much weight as the hours of real gameplay from almost every single game Nintendo announced. And the only recent backlash threads on downgrades were Forza 5, WatchDogs and Dark Souls 2, which had nothing to do with CGI, but instead graphical downgrades in actual gameplay footage.
You do know, all of these, were greenlit during the Wii/DS era right? And they were financed with Wii profits? Hell since they lost a lot of money this generation, the budgets would be appropriately scaled down for the new wave of titles greenlit right???
nintendo fans and their Optimism and Enthusiasm...they are so cute

Thank goodness for my PS3 then. But who cares, because I don't want Destiny. And there are a million and one games to replace even the best that console games has to offer, so yes it does cut it. My $150 laptop can play indies and any AAA game released before 2013, so I think I'll be fine.

For you, the day Nintendo graced E3 was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.
Let Nintendo have this victory. They've had a had life, Iwata is ill, Miyamoto hasn't made a good game since the 90s and the Wii U is the definition of a turd guzzler. While the rest of are experiencing our lives, growing older and playing as a hobby. for these fans Nintendo IS there life, they were born playing Nintendo games, and they will die doing so. Nintendo fans are not real people as they will not experience the ride that we know as life.
So yes, Nintendo has won E3, but we have won life.
I thought Vita means life. Sony got some 'splaining to do.For you, the day Nintendo graced E3 was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

Nintendo had a good showing, but I think the "they destroyed everything" comments are a little obnoxious. It's all up to personal preference and I'd argue all 3 conferences were solid.I voted for Nintendo in everything. They had quite easily the best E3. They just destroyed. I was very disappointed by Sony in particular.
This is kind of my point, Watch Dogs was in game as well, billed a graphical showcase, and it comes out looking not at all that way.3. Uncharted 4's trailer wasn't CGI. So your point sort of falls on its face here. It was a cut scene. Logic tells me gameplay will look similar but probably not quite as good, but that'll still be plenty good enough for me, and still enough to make it the best looking game any where on any system (imo).
4. Do you care about top tier graphics or not? Seeing as you're a primarily Wii U gamer, I'm assuming you care more for gameplay than you do graphics, and the same applies here. Does it suck bad that these games got a graphical downgrade? Sure. Is it shady of the devs/publishers? Sure.
But the important factor is how they ended up playing and looking, and they still ended up playing and looking solid.
And as I said above, I wouldn't be surprised if the others showed more real gameplay than Nintendo did. Don't confuse no gameplay with gameplay that I didn't care to see.

hahahaOf course sales are important. I do not understand video games and I even feel angry because, at award announcements, the announcers always discuss things relating to video games or such childish topics as 'who had the best show at E3,' while I, for one, was flabbergasted that gaming sites continue to announce results of polls although they said that they would stop if the company that wins does not translate into unit sells.
Good show, Nintendo. ; )
Is this one of those "I dont know about you but Im a expert"-things? I cant tell any more, nothing brings out the saltiest crazy like a feelgood nintendo-thread :3

I got it as my free game and it definitely is the definitive Pikmin game to date. Love it to pieces.I know your post is sarcasm, but Pikmin 3 is one of the best games ever made and a Miyamoto game.
