I purchased the DS game for my sister, and i think I visited her town once using my other sisters version of AC to pull a prank. other than that, AC DS was exactly like AC GC, except with shitty constellation drawings and no NES games, making it infinitely worse.

AC is still one of my all-time favorite series from Nintendo. I actually enjoyed the GC version quite a bit more due to the awesome assortment of retro games, better world layout and music (I would often leave the title screen running while I dozed off).Smiles and Cries said:I played Animal Crossing more than I played Mother 3

I definitely agree with all of those suggestions and would add some crazy underwater cities (imagine swimming through downtown NYC). I think the game could go more towards the Pilotwings route and introduce some specific missions like trapping some creature for research purposes, saving a group of swimmers from a group of hungry sharks, etc. Hell, they could even throw in the "swim through the rings" shit.

Animal Crossing GCN was so great because of the retro titles you could play. With the VC now, do you think Nintendo will let you play your VC collection directly in AC Wii? The only way AC Wii will be huge is if it's a MMO with voice-chat and other ideas.

- Significantly enhance the complexity of sea tours. In sea tours, basically you can get a five star rating if you waited it out long enough and captured the one sea creature the person wanted to see. Sea tours should be based on the type of educational value you give, the type of pictures you take on the tour, etc. It should be considerably more risk-reward than it was. Add some skill. Make me feel like being a marine biologist takes fucking hard work.
- Don't feel afraid to go a little wild with the concept, I agree. Like, having a special underwater sea cave (or city, whatever) that is devoted to cryptozoological finds and another devoted to ancient sea life, like "sea monsters 3D" only actually works
- Give the Aquarium a greater purpose. Perhaps have a mini sim where you actually get funding for your continued expanse into the oceans by having an attractive Aquarium which attracts lots of visitors.
