Generation's have always meant in the parlance to be about consoles, while PC and handheld games are usually considered off to the side, usually within their own parameters (ie. "Best 50 DS games of all time!"). It's kind of silly to attack IGN over this. I have no doubt that they'll have a top 75 3DS games of All-Time once Nintendo announces it's next handheld, thus ending that handheld generation.

I'm currently playing Ni no Kuni and I'm loving it, I think it deserves to be in any list like this. Also, I really think Xenoblade should be higher, it's just too big and beautiful to be just #80 but I guess not many IGN editors played it or something like that.

Look I'm happy that Catherine is on here, it's one of my favorite games, but for it to beat Demon's Souls and for Demon's Souls to be so low on this list, below forgettable games like Dishonored and God of War III is just ridiculous. It's one of the most important games of last gen, and its influence will last well into the current one if not longer.

Just like a lot of other people I spotted Xenoblade's position and stopped caring about this list. Obviously opinions are subjective but I personally found several games they've listed ahead of it, like NSMB Wii and Black Ops, to be resoundingly average. Xenoblade on the other hand is one of the best games I have ever played.

Expect World of Warcraft to take number one with TBC/Wrath happening during this generation. Even with the problems Cata/Mists brought, the experiences from TBC and Wrath were far better than anything else offered in the last ten years.

H3 at 82. This almost feels like a joke. As far as console FPS MP goes, H3 was a masterpiece.

Also, as bad as this list is, it still shows how far the survival horror genre has fallen. Condemned, hands down the most terrifying game of the past console generation, at 97? If I see Amnesia higher up on this list...
