It's a shame that Uncharted 4 is so far down the list.
Also, Bloodborne not number 1 smh
Also, Bloodborne not number 1 smh
Spider-man and Ghost of Tsushima should be before Horizon Zero Dawn I agree and Death Stranding too IMOGOW where it is supposed to be, GOTG...crushes all including RDR2, Witcher and GTA which all have terrible gameplay compared to GOW.
RDR2 is too high, Witcher is too high, GTA is too high.
Spider-man and Ghost of Tsushima should be higher than Horizon and Uncharted Lost Legacy....
TLOU2 should be near the bottom of the list and TLOU1 should be near the top.
FFVIIR should be higher too.
Overwatch is a load of shit and has no business being on any 'top list'
Death Stranding should be top 10.
Lists generate such terrible discussion though.Well yeah, but the whole point of a discussion forum is to discuss it. I don't think anyone's upset, we just think it's a trash list.

word, the best games this gen have either been indie, remakes or remasters. Very few original games were memorable. The games were generally fun but I forgot them instantly and will most likely never play them again.A walking sim? GTA V? Fuck naw. Multiple remakes in there too. This gen has been terrible.

... seriously a lot of the games in the IGN list are meh or just okay to me, and Nier: Automata and FFVIIR are way too low for me in that list.
How is the Two Point Hospital port now? Is it stable? I've been waiting for a few patches to finally grab it.
Bad list for a bad gen.
Nah this was a pretty damn good gen if you ask me. Don't know what makes you think it was bad.
If you are going to include GTA 5 then you may as include last of us remastered and put it in 2nd place.Hard to say, because I would never approach a list like they do since I game on more than a PS4 so that list in itself doesn't make any sense to me, because either I judge PS4 exclusives or I judge all games that I played no matter the device, but rating games that are available on PS4, no matter if they are exclusive or not, is something I personally wouldn't have thought about doing.
Also I haven't played all of those games or I played some on different platforms like Metal Gear Solid V, Control, Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 2, GTA V.
If I had to rank the games they listed it would probably go :
1) The Last of Us Part II (GOTY, GOAT)
2) God of War
3) Bloodborne
3a) Witcher 3
4) Uncharted 4 (TLL doesn't really count. It is a smaller game and more of the same kinda. A big DLC rather)
5) Resident Evil 2 Remake
6) Final Fantasy VII Remake
7) GTA V
8) Red Dead Redemption 2
9) Metal Gear Solid V
10) Control
11) Horizon Zero Dawn
Rest I haven't played/finished.
26) Overwatch
If you are going to include GTA 5 then you may as include last of us remastered and put it in 2nd place.
All the other generations that came before it. Too much focus-tested AAA, not enough breakthrough games or subgenres. Pound for pound, the density of classics is not here. Even indies lost their luster from last generation.
This was the first time in my life I ever felt apathy at the thought of turning on my console or continuing my latest save, and I felt that for a lot of games on these lists. I know some of that might be me getting older, but there's still a lot of new stuff on PC that sink their hooks in me, some of which were console titles that felt much more at home on PC.
