Does anyone know if American Crew's "HAIR RECOVERY + THICKENING SHAMPOO" actually does what it says on the flask?

That's too bad, cause I really like that shirt. If that's all it takes to repel women, then I give up.

Actually that seems like a shirt a lot of girls would like, since it's cute and minimalistic. Not sure if you're actually looking for critiques, but I would say the main area you could improve your appearance is in your muscle mass. Other than that you look pretty good to me.

Jesus Christ... This got really depressing really fast.

Sorry. Was just trying to be helpful. I'm bald too, and I probably also need to increase my muscle mass.
It's fine. I literally don't think I'm capable of increasing my muscle mass to any significant degree, I don't know what even constitutes more "modern" glasses frames, and I guess I have shitty taste in clothing. I gave up on the idea of finding a significant other a long time ago and deal with enough self-loathing on a daily basis to even consider myself worth anyone's time anyhow.

All this can change for the better if you want it to.

These superficial things like shirts or glasses or muscle mass (you look lean and healthy) don't matter. It seems you need to work on loving yourself first and get a confidence boost cause even if you got a date or relationship, those self-loathing issues wouldn't magically fly away. Have you tried going to a therapist to talk about this stuff? Have you tried putting yourself out there in the dating scene, like try to strike up a conversation with someone that you're attracted to? There's a couple of threads you can post about this stuff in:

Im 20 years old and my hairline is pretty much like this, only i dont look like jude law. i cant even shave it because i have a horrible shaped head. Whats worse is its literally falling out, i only have to touch the hairline and my hand is full of hair. on the sides i have the thickest strongest hair though so maybe ill get a transplant someday

There are a lot of guys who look good bald or with receding hair, but I honestly have to say that I think Jude Law isn't one of them.

I think people need to keep in mind that we are mostly our own's biggest critics. Just try not to obsess over it, accept it and make the best of it. Self-confidence plays a lot larger role in attractiveness than many think imo.

I'm actually dealing with balding myself, but other people don't really seem to care about that at all. That being said I think I'll look kinda shit when the day comes that I have to shave it all off. But oh well, guess I am gonna grow a magnificent beard and become one of those bear guys then? ;-)

My hair started receding when I was 17. At 27 I'm close to completely bald on top. Losing hair sucks but be happy it's starting (slowly) for you at 30, and not in your teens.

yep, you had 30 good years with your hair, let it go.

I had a sun roof at 27. started receding at 18.

I was born ginger.
In the UK to make it all the more worse.
I started losing my hair at 18.
By 30 I had nothing on top.
I am now grey on the sides.

I survived. Just shave that shit off.

Who cares, there's nothing you can REALLY do about it - so just accept it and go with whatever hair/head style suits you the best. You think other people give a shit about your hair or lack of it? Everyone is too busy worrying about their own insecurities to give a shit about yours. Besides, a lot of people find baldness really sexy, a buzzcut is masculine and sexy for sure. You think anyone finds hair transplants, plugs or whatever sexy? No they don't.

My hair is thining at the front, and I'm not happy about it per se, but looking at my father and his brothers, it was always something expected when I reached my 30s so it wasn't a surprise. I just keep my hair short and when I get the age when short isn't enough, I'm going buzzcut - my father did the same and he looks fine. No one really cares, it's a nothing issue. If it's an issue it's because some company want to make it an issue because they want to sell you something. Snake oil is snake oil.

My hair started falling out at 16 and i HATED it. I would styling it to hide it or just wear a hat. A lot of people commented on it and it really did affect my confidence. When your appearance starts changing it's definitely gonna be hard.

It's something completely natural and there's nothing you can do about it. I found some comfort/reassurance in that.

I miss my long hair and being able to dye it all sorts of colours (probably why it fell out so quickly) but I kinda like it now. Also...there are a lot of girls who like the look of a bald guy.

It's tough OP but you'll be alright :)

Why are so many people in our generation balding so early? What did we do?

Our hair should all be looking like this in our 30's.

Now that's what I'm talking about

2/3rds of older men in movies have weaves/hair pieces/pay people lots of money to hide it. 1/3 are just lucky.

Go with it. I waited till I was about 30 (3 years ago) before I went "fuck it" and just did a 1 all over.

I looked in the mirror and just thought "well shit, I should have done this 10 years ago"

I know propecia has a bad name thanks to side-effects, but all I can say is.. look at Daniel Tosh before and after he started using it.

I suggest you try and meet someone and get married asap. Nothing worse than being bald in your wedding photos. Instead you can have a happy memory of the hirsute person you used to be.

Who is with me? I'm seriously considering the tattoo option once I get to the point of no return :)

I have seem some TV shows about it and it looks almost real. Basically ton of tiny little dots all over your scalp.

that would probably look really bad when you get older

I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me my receeding hairline is genetic and extra shedding could be being caused by some meds.

She gave me a prescription for propecia and said I could use rogaine with it. I guess I'm going to try it out and see if I get any side effects, she said they're statistically rare.

She also said she thinks my hairline will thicken up if I take it and that not eating red meat could be causing it to happen quicker and told me I should take an iron supplment.

how do you know he used Propecia? I assume millionaires wouldn't bother with Propecia, or at least use it in addition to thousands of dollar hair transplants.

Always had really thick hair which turned curly that would grow super fast. Wound up getting it shaved off as a 4 when I was under 10 years old then gradually a 1 after I turned 10. It was easier to maintain and growing older people loved it more (girls would always want to rub my head to feel the spikey prickles from how short the hair was).

I started thinning out when I was 23 (now 33), it's weird I'm not completely bald on top (the Larry David / George Costanza look) but in some ways I'd prefer to be as having fluffy hair on top is ridiculous.

I actually shave it off every 3-5 weeks now as soon as it starts looking odd it goes!
Still only shave at a 1, I actually don't want to do a 0 because I'm kinda worried that the hair that does grow back won't grow back the same, or it'll grow back out as grey hair instead lol.

I'm 24, and have lost a lot of hair. I'm out of shape too. Just be confident, keep it short, a lot of girls really don't give a damn, unless they're like 19 or something.

My hairline receded pretty severely in my 20's. Just last week I finally decided to shave it (I've been buzzing with a #1 clipper before that once every few weeks). Big mistake waiting this long. If you've got more than a moderately receded hairline, it's time to shave.

Being bald by itself doesn't make a man less attractive, but it does compound the unattractiveness of being overweight and unfit.

The hair tattoo is a huge mistake. Absolutely do not do that.

My hairline first started receding at like 16 but shockingly enough, I still have a decent head of hair at 29(only with more high and tight haircuts these days). I can't imagine the next few years will be particularly kind but I'm just glad I'll make it out of my 20's not looking like George Costanza up top.

I started receding at 18, noticed it at the temples just before I left for college.
Luckily my hair was really thick and black so nobody had any idea unless I pulled by hair back tight to expose my hairline.

I'm now 2 months off 30 and my hair has thinned over the years to the point where I need to be picky with my hair styles to avoid my thinning/receding being obvious.

I'm now thinking about embracing the recession and getting some kind of high and tight style. Any suggestions for what to get? I searched high and tight hairstyles on Google and have seen some that might work for me. Never had my hair that short on the sides (usually have a number 3).
