Pidgeot left to protect a group of Pidgeys and Pidgeottos near Palet town from a flock of Spearows and that Fearow from the first few episodes that attacked Pikachu and Ash. Squirtle left because the Squirtle squad needed his help for something. I forget what.

Charizard is a total bro, anytime this kid needs to fight a legendary or something stupid strong and win he's there. Need to beat an Articuno? Done. Gotta beast a Blastoise? He'll do that too.

He always catches the starters and starting bird of almost every region it seems. Looks like they just gave up on having reasons for him to let his Pokemon go and have him send them back to Oak because he wants to restart every time he goes to another region. ASH IS AN IDIOT

I have no problem with Ash not catching a ton of Pokemon (I don't go through a game with a team of more than six, after all), but his sheer number of unevolved Pokemon is thoroughly disappointing.

The look on Oaks face when all 30 Tauros come through the transfer machine is priceless. haha
I cried when Jesse and James released Arbok and Weezing. That was probably the saddest moment ever shown in the pokemon show. None of Ash's releases were that emotional for me.

He has used Tauros on several major battles like in the Johto League and the Orange Islands champion battle. He (er one of them) are usually a pretty good pokemon. I still think it's bullshit that Ash has had a few water starters but none of them has ever fucking evolved. I understand Totodile to an extent because he's an adorable dancing little fellow, but c'mon what the fuck ash. Also evolve your goddamn Gible damn it.

Yeah that was sad and all but I'm sorry, it can't top Jesse and James releasing their first pokemon and the way it happened, was more emotionally impacting. They stepped in danger, knowing they'd lose horribly against a poacher, to buy time for their pokemon Arbok & Weezing to escape with a bunch of ekans & koffings, and no sweet happy ending for them.

At the end of the Orange Island league they found Lapras's family that it was separated from and he released it. It was just a baby.
