I know. I was horrified that there is a site called NolanFans too.
It's defintiely better than BondFans:

So I've never seen an Imax movie, but this will probably be my first one. Which NYC one is the best?

I think Lincoln Center is the only real IMAX screen in the city. I saw TS3 at Kips Bay this weekend and it was a fucking joke.

I thought this isn't an IMAX movie? booked at the London bfi screen though, if only for the sound. £14 full price is quite steep though for a normal movie. But most of the good seats are already gone from what I can see. Only has a week or so before ts3 takes over the screens.

Yeah, I just saw on the previous page that it wasn't filmed with Imax cameras. I'll probably see it on a regular screen to save a few bucks. I gotta find a theater with quiet audiences. Unless it's a silly movie like Snakes on a Plane, exclamations and other noise really bug me.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is easily Oscar-bound based on his talent. Just needs the right role. Hopefully this is it, though the Academy doesn't really tend to recognize these sorts of movies in departments outside of the technical ones. Even more rarely for the acting.

The academy is continuing the 10 nominations right? I think Inception and Toy Story 3 could very likely get a nomination, as long as Inception really is good as the early buzz suggests. After all, District 9 and UP both got nominations last year. Now, the big suprise would be if Nolan can grab a best director nomination. If you can get a director nomination in addition to your best picture nomination, that means your really in the running, it seems.

If nothing else, I hope Wally Pfister finally picks up an Oscar for this. There are a lot of great-looking shots just in the trailers.

Any of the commentators comparing it to Nolan's past work in terms of quality?

I really enjoyed Nolan's "lesser" works like Insomnia and The Prestige, but I do have higher hopes for Inception. Memento-style hopes.

Absolutely.

EPIC is NOT allowed to make the Inception game.
What's the matter man? You don't like bald spacemarines on steroids? What's next, you don't like Mountain Dew either?

Glad JGL is getting recogintion. I hope he doesn't become the next "up and comer" to hate on. -_-
Yes, I realize he's been around for awhile! That's why I used quotations!

Not really. We've all been following the production pretty closely, and thats why we use spoiler tags most of the time. For everyone else who hasn't been keeping up. Not only that, our untagged portion of the post usually ties into the spoilered text, or at least warns posters about it.

Vitamin's post mention that he was going on a complete blackout, and is followed by possibly a massive fucking spoiler that none of us were warned about or have ever even heard of. He was either being very stupid, or was just being malicious.

Well, it is our own faults for even looking at the spoiler. We can blame ourselves for looking, but Vitamin for providing it as well.

Yeah, but everything else spoilered in the thread is about vests or JGL or both!

I will go with a combination of the two.

And yes, I know generally spoiler tagged things in here have been so minor or silly, and usually giant spoilers like Vitamin's potential one have big warnings before they are posted. But I know I am partially to blame for reading it in the end.

Good. Welcome to the club. Let's hope it continues Nolan's streak of awesomeness, which I have no doubt it will.

My brother has worked on several movies with him and has said he is a really cool, down to earth guy. On Inception he said that while all the other stars like Leo would send their assistants to get food from craft services during meal times, JGL would stand in line with the rest of the crew and wait his turn like everyone else. He also said he was the nicest and most professional person working on G.I. Joe.

I am glad that JGL should be getting more recognition.

Yeah I remember hearing set reports about G.I. Joe, and how Christoper Eccleston was acting like a prima donna while JGL was a lot nicer and more normal guy.

I thought it was something well known that I had just not known about due to not watching anything about the film, editing my post now, very sorry!

yeah, one of my good friends worked on the LA shoot of Inception (train scene). Said Christopher Nolan was the nicest guy and would personally tell you if you were doing a great job.
