Incoming PSN flash sale (Alien: Isolation - The Collection $14.79)

I think I'm safe from this sale. Tearaway is tempting but I played and finished the Vita version.
You should definitely get Tearaway on the PS4. It is not the same game as the Vita. There are a few familiar things, but that's it. New movies, new levels, and, really, it's a new experience.

Very tempted to pick up max Payne. How does it hold up? I finished max Payne 2 and 3 but never actually played the first(please don't judge me)

I've got Beyond two souls but it is quite broken.

I've just played the first seen and I have 2 graphical bugs:
1) the doctor was not in the right position. So when he put the headset on my Judy's head, he was looking behind me and the headset was flying
2) then there was one character that was constantly blinking.

Anyone with the same kind of problem?

I recently got the plat for the game and never encountered what you're describing.

Picked up a few games. One thing that bugs me with PSN is if you own the disc version of the game.. lets say Tearaway unfolded but you are willing to buy the digital version because its super cheap they make you delete the install based on the disc and re download the game.

On the X1 you just... no longer have to put in the disc it understands you own it digitally now.

BUT ... great sales and I am super happy to have a few of these games digitally.

Beyond, Tomb Raider, Fat Princess for me!

Tried all 3 before bed.

Beyond looks more like a last gen game than i expected. It looked amazing at the time, i guess games have outdone it more than i realized since then. Super smooth though.

Same comment for Tomb Raider. So smooth now, much better than my PC. But looks more like a last gen game than i expected.

Fat Princess feels like a small scale Diablo clone sorta. Floaty, seems difficult, and you switch classes at will at certain locations on the map. I jumped into some other persons random game, likely how i will always play.

Mark of Kri is almost a precursor of the fighting system you find in the Arkham games. Fight crowds of enemies but you use a tag to assign a button to each target and pull of insanely deadly combos. The game is def worth every penny.

Thanks! Love the Arkham combat. Will probably pick this up ;D

...the stores have different sales. There's no "disgusting price gap."

Get over it.

Oh are there great games for sale in the UK that are not on the sale in the US? Does that ever happen?

The Order 1886 will NEVER be the uk equivalent of $7.99. (£4.99). Ever. Even in ten years.

It's the high U.K and EU prices that constantly subsidises great sale prices in the US.

But I guess I'm used to it so it's okay.

Just last week UK had an amazing sale while US had squat. Stuff happens.

Don't get too hung up on the order lmao

I had a little extra money in my US account, so I got Alien Isolation and Rogue Galaxy out of it. Kind of a sci-fi kick I'm on.

Not that any of you should care, but still.

Edit: And I thoroughly agree with the above. Actually, make a Japanese one too, and an AU, HK and Singaporian one too, while Sony still lets you. All great choices for different things.

Also, believe me, SonicAaron, when I say that The Order ain't worth getting worked up about. It's pretty, but not much else.

Yeah, like last month? There was a UK sale that I was salivating over. There were over 300 titles on sale. We in the USA got basically squat in comparison.

How is Rise of the Kasai? I loved Mark of Kri back when it came out. Are the stealth elements improved? I figure the combat will be just as fun in it as it was in the first one.

How is Mark of Kri? What's is it most similar to?

It doesn't hold up as well as I had hoped.

It's an extremely novel 3D stealth/brawler where you sneak/murder your way through levels using various tools, but mostly the right stick to target enemies and the face buttons to mash out combos. Problem is the controls are not very fluid as basic actions like running and combo chaining feels inconsistent. There is a weird pause delay when you rub against walls that is beyond irritating, and you have to input attacks in an awkward window ahead of the animation cycle for them to work. Otherwise you stop immediately without warning and are exposed looking dumbfounded. Enemies consistently break or interrupt attacks whenever they feel like it with no direct rationality. It's in many ways luck-based as you keep mashing out attacks hoping they don't block or interrupt as there is almost no recourse. I disliked it in 2002, but wanted to give it a second chance now as there is a lot to like outside of the gameplay(and stealth can be fun).

At $6 it's worth a try, but the clumsiness of even playing the first level will turn off many. I hear the sequel fixes things up greatly but I never tried it(also on sale)

the order is incredibly mediocre

The game play was absolutely mediocre... but, the graphics were stunning, the voice acting was fantastic and the story is very good. Well worth it for $8.

Does XCOM Enemy Within still have the glitches and bugs I remember hearing about? Would it be recommended to buy or should I just buy the original disc version for a little cheaper?

This is one of those rare flash sales where I want way more games than I can afford. I'm definitely going to grab Rogue Galaxy, Alien: Isolation, Dishonored and Wolfenstein. My poor wallet!

I never finished Bully and would like to do so.

Is it worth getting the PS4 version if I already own the Wii: Scholarship edition?

Not sure if the Wii extras are worthwhile or if the PS4 PS2 Classic will look/play better. Any thoughts?

Sleeping Dogs ever get a patch to fix the performance? Had heard that the remaster ran pretty poorly.

Put 30 hours into it last month with no major problems in the main game.

Saw some slow down in one of the DLCs (Year of Dragon) whoch was a minor nuisance but considering the DLC was about 3 hours long it wasn't a show stopper.

Part of me feels like I need to get killings because I had the others. Idk its the series I always comeback to

That MP is probably dead as hell at this point tho....

Sounds good. Never finished it back on the 360, so I'll give it another shot.

Legit shocked at how different yet familiar Tearaway Unfolded is to the original Vita version.

It's a different game. I thought it was just an altered port.

What a delightful game this is! So very happily surprised!
