Incoming PSN flash sale (Alien: Isolation - The Collection $14.79)

For those unfamiliar with the series, "Metro Redux" is essentially a combo pack of both Metro 2033 (Redux) and Metro Last Light (Redux), so if you want to jump in, be sure not to double-up on either game.

Anyone here mind weighing in on the Vita Ninja Gaiden ports? I'm really considering that bundle price as I was a big fan of the first one back in the day but I wonder if they run well and look alright.

I've played the first and it was really slick. Handled just as well as the PS3 version, I think the graphics were tuned down a smidgen for the Vita, but still played very well.

I meant how the ps3 version? Is there any issues with it?

It was inferior to the 360 version, but from what I recall there was nothing majorly wrong with it from a technical perspective. It's a pretty ugly game in general and hardly a showcase of flawless performance, but it's not broken. Just buy it, it's a terrific game.

Played and loved both of them. Many will complain about the frame rate but I didn't notice it much.

I would get it for Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus and that's it. NGS2+ has an unobtainable Platinum due to the fact that Koei Tecmo basically copy/pasted NGS2's trophy list and some of the Ultimate Ninja missions are impossible to complete with the AI.

If you don't care about trophies or that doesn't bother you, also I think that NGS2+ has some performance issues too.

Don't play 2 because you can't get a trophy? Weird reason.

I'm sure LBP3 is worth it for $8, but I've never played one of these games before and I'm only interested in the campaign/adventure mode. Is it a good intro to the series? And I've heard it has some bugs – were those ever addressed?

Ended up getting Bully, Beyond 2 Souls and The Order

Also finally upgraded from stock HDD to a 2 TB because of not being able to download any of those games

Don't play 2 because it has ATROCIOUS dynamic resolution and framerate issues.

But I like it anyway because it's fun ^___^

NGS+ is great tho. Get that unless you are one of those annoying millennials born post 2002 who is like NON 60 FPS IS A SLIDESHOW

Bit off topic but here goes.

For those disappointed that Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition isn't on sale buy you also have a gaming pc, GOG has it 50% off right now.

Staying away from Sony published games here. Feel like its only a matter of time until these are PS+ titles.

Got Alien Collection, Sleeping Dogs and Valiant Hearts.

That should definitely hold me over until Uncharted.

I didn't realize it had both. Pretty sure I just bought it and Last Light because of that :(. I swear I checked the wording too.

If you bought Metro 2033 redux for $4.99 and Metro redux for $7.49 you should be able to contact support and have one of them refunded. I agree that it could be more clear, even just having the icon show both games would help.

Edit: After reading what you said again, I'm not even sure that's what you meant.

Yeah, the descriptions could be much better. Almost did the same myself, hence the forewarning.

You sure you bought Last Light? I don't think that one's on sale. If you just went to the sales page, you likely bought the bundle and 2033.

Ended up buying manhunt and mark of kri. I totally forgot the was a PC version of manhunt so I probably should've just got that one. Oh well.

Holy shit did not expect Alien to look so good. Kind of a shame the game isnt 4-5 hrs, no way am I gunna finish it with that type of gameplay for that long. Its not even bad or anything, its just that type of slow sneaking gameplay doesnt work well for super long games.

Been playing Alien: Isolation for a few hours.

It's the Alien game I've always wanted, but man...

Gahhhh idk what to get between Metro Redux and Alien Isolation. Redux looks cool with the atmosphere but is the plot itself any good?

Picked up...

Beyond: Two Souls
Killzone: Shadow Fall
The Order 1886
Tearaway Unfolded
Metro Redux

for a whopping total of $43 and some change, my HDD is now full....

Just checked and I bought Metro Redux and Metro 2033 Redux. Pretty sure buying the bundle on XB1 just put both games in your library and wouldn't allow you to buy them separately afterward so I didn't realize both would be under one game app here. I forgot Last Light was the sequel is what happened. I thought Metro Redux was the first game and Metro 2033 Redux was the sequel lol. The only place both are mentioned is in the trademark information at the end. I was looking for wording that mentioned both games etc. Should've been tipped off by the two Artyom's on the cover though :P.

I got Metro Redux, Bully and Max payne.

Kinda regret Max Payne though since it's essentially the PS2 port. Time to wait for the real sale next week, golden week sale.

Yeah contact PS support through chat or over the phone and explain that you bought Metro 2033 twice accidentally because of the vague descriptions. I'm sure they'll refund you the money.

I know I'm not going to like Rogue Galaxy because when I played it on PS2 I gave up on it, but I can't for the life of me remember what I hated about it and so I've ended up just getting it again on the off-chance that maybe I didn't hate it after all.

I've been there. Bought it on ps2, played it, gave up on it. Sold it. Rebought... tried again, gave up on it. Kept it. Tried again a couple years later. Gave up on it.

All 3 for different reasons, and my last playthrough got me the furthest.... I want to love it, but it's burn out central for me. Oh well. I still have an overwhelming urge to rebuy for trophies, but... yeah, i will resist. For now.

Isolation is a good game. The extras weren't worth anything to me.
Metro is fine as well. It was an okay game, didn't hit all the high notes for me though.

Id like to know this as well

It's about a post apocalyptic world set in russia full of subway tunnels. The first game was pretty good but the sequel improves everything dramatically. Metro Redux is about 20-30 hours of shooting and offers a lot of value for your money. The plot is based off a novel and I'd say it's very well written.

Yeah, I thought both Metro and the sequel were excellent shooters, some of the best SP shooters of last few years (really between them and Wolfenstein). I highly recommend the $7.50 package, it's a steal.

Also, everyone should get Sleeping Dogs for $10, it's also a steal for an excellent game (unless you have it on PC).
