You say that, but a lot of people seem to be taking things like the new game will look completely current-gen and the Xbox One is only like a little bit more powerful than the 360 or something. Its worth saying for them, from a marketing standpoint.

Isn't it more worrying that they have to say it at all? The difference should be immediately apparent or you're doing something wrong.

720p is as good as confirmed now. If it was rendering at a higher resolution than 720p (even if said resolution is lower than 1080p), they would definitely say so.

Wasn't this obvious? Geometry, textures and lighting are improved in the next-gen versions.

The story here is that with these improvements the XO version can only maintain 60fps at 720p, while the PS4 version can do so at 1080p.

That's a massive difference.

Oooh sounds like you've had a lot of hands on of it and the DS4... Please tell us more.

I actually did at E3!!! Only touched X1's controller while playing Crimson Dragon (shortest line) and tried the DS4 on Knack... The DS4 kicks butt considering I hated the DS3, but in my opinion I like the feel of the X1 controller... Anything else you want to know?

No kidding... It was so bad I avoided GAF for that night!! I'm getting both PS4 AND Xbox One and my COD purchase was going to be on Xbox One if the rumors were true or not. You just can't beat the X1's controller

Please correct me if i am wrong or if i have missed anything in the last 24 hours but not one MS or Activision Executive or rep has come out and flat out debunk all this native 720p rumours.

There has been bombs going off on all gaming sites since yesterday and one would think that if this rumour is untrue that someone would come forward and cut it down.

So far...no one. That in of itself is telling.

Digital Foundry pixel counters will be able to tell the difference, for sure. If all this shakes out and PS4 is 1080p60fps and Xbone is 720p60fps and all the other things are the same, I think you'll be able to tell the difference. Won't be as drastic as DVD to Blu-ray, but substantial nonetheless.

This would be a good time for some PC gamers to run some screenshots of the same game at same settings but at 720p vs 1080p.

What are you talking about... I read the article, my comment wasn't pertaining to said article. My comment was to a young gentleman that was talking about how ridiculous the 720p COD rumor thread was and how out of control it got... Get your facts straight first. Kick rocks!!!
