GASP! Japanese or Asia version?
Sounds like standard Initial D to me from your impressions. Hooray!

Thanks for the quick impressions!DCharlie said:got this last night but had limited time

Seems okay, graphics aren't amazing, but the handling is decent enough, but default config has X as accel and square as brake which was causing me some problems, will have to switch the control method - didn't notice any load times, and had a fun couple of duels.
CONSTANT talking during the race started to jar a little bit.
Isn't X=accelerate, Square=brake (and O=handbrake) pretty much standard issue for racing games, though?
which version did you pick up and from where???
Thanks for the quick review by the way...
For me, if I can't have a wheel, it's gotta be d-pad. I'm a tapper when it comes to playing racing games with a standard controller. So far, the only time I've had to use that lame PSP analog nub/slider is on those spin moves in DJMP.DCharlie said:(you can play on digital pad if that floats your boat too)

Oh well... time to watch the very first initial d again now that i'm on this kick again...
