Wow looks like Obama has it. Does anyone else think that this time, Iowa might not tell the whole story of what is to happen?

I doubt this is the end of the contest even if Obama wins it.

the difference between CNN and everyone other news channel is amazing. who needs to hear candidate acceptance/defeat speeches, when we could instead listen to narcissistic pundits prattle their self-aggrandized opinions on what's happening?

Obama>Edwards>>Hilary>>>>Huckabee>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everyone else GOP.

I think Obama needed this win. It finally puts him on the map in contrast to the CNN contributors and others who suggested a slaughtering by the Clinton machine earlier on.

Just what we need as President, a Southern baptist preacher. Thank God I still have my UK passport.

A Southern Baptist isolationist aids patient concentration camp building preacher.

Would anywhere on Earth be far enough away?

unless a sex tape appears with hillary in it, A huckabee/hillary debate would be a slaughter fest of epic proportions. :lol
You must have missed the 2004 debates. In the minds of the American people, Kerry eked out a slender victory over Bush despite the substantial IQ disparity. More people were concerned about the obvious wire Dubya was wearing than the substance of the debates.

Yeah, Hilary wouldn't stand a chance.

Debates surely are not her strength at all.

And here I was thinking he was talking about Hillary slaughtering Huck. Which of us is right, TopsyTurvy?

What would a Huckabee vs Obama debate look like?
Most likely President Huckabee. Obama would have to have an incredibly powerful message that stood well with people old and young, AND racist / religious conservatives.

MSNBC projects Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee for Iowa

Woot! I just hope he can keep this momentum going into New Hampshire, and eventually the rest of the nation.

I'm simply amazed/confused on how Huckabee won on the Republican side...he really, really doesn't seem to be a guy who can be President. I believe any of the democratic front runners will be able to win over the Republicans no matter what, though. We'll see, I'm just hoping Obama can pull out an epic win to be nominated.

He's gotta do *something* with that 20 mil.

Yeah, by catering to his support base. The internets don't win you an election. Paul should have payed more attention to Snakes on a Plane

But the real story here is Clinton apparently coming in third. I didn't see that coming, at all. This could ruin her in NH, and if it does Obama will walk away with the nomination

i luv u guyz.

it's so fun to watch this unfold and see your reactions.

I'm more surprised that Giuliani is doing so poorly. He's only barely above Paul.

This is FAR worse for Edwards than it is for clinton. Edwards could not afford to lose this, and he's going to. Hillary can still and probably will pull ahead of him before the night is over. He's really, really in trouble now. And thank god, too.

This cant be right?

Code:
 Precincts Reporting 74%
Candidate	Votes	Vote %
Obama 588	35%
Edwards 516	31%
Clinton 512 31%
Richardson	30	2%
Biden 17	1%
Dodd 0	0%
Gravel 0	0%
Kucinich	0	0%
Code:
 Precincts Reporting 40%

Candidate	Votes	Vote %
Huckabee	14,045	31%
Romney 10,084	23%
Thompson	5,950	13%
McCain 5,194	12%
Giuliani 4,901	11%
Paul 4,379	10%
Hunter 168	0%
The Dem's numbers seem WAY too low for it to be 74% reporting

I don't think he's never spent a day in Iowa, and Paul's famous for proudly announcing "I'm in Des Moines" one restless morning. You're trying to spin this as a positive for Paul, but it's the total opposite.

I think tamonon was being sarcastic...i think. :/

either way, i wasn't stating that as if it means importance, just that huckabee in previous debates didn't really come off as a candidate that sticks out. thats why i call him the john kerry of the GOP, he came out of completely no where to win a caucus. Also, the debates hillary clinton appears in really shows her dominance. She completely owns everyone even when she's completely choking on a easy ass immigrant policy. :/

I haven't went back and looked. But I would bet the person who gets the most percentage of vote between NH/IA/SC goes on to win nomination 9/10 times.
