It really is remarkable how many Democrats voted, and not to mention, that Barack Obama won in Iowa.

I'm sure I'll be greeted with such witticisms as, "You won't be missed," but that goes both ways. We don't need a president, we need a savior after the fallout of Bush. I think some of you are being incredibly delusional if you think Obama or Huckabee is that savior.

Nothing more I loathe than a person lamenting the demise of the American political system yet not doing a damn thing about it.

I didn't fall for anything, but I was always under the impression that the Clintons did not care as much about places like Iowa. I've gotta say, though... thinking back to Hillary's speech, she seemed kind of pissed. And Bill looked worried, heh.Incognito said:Don't fall for the Clinton spin of them not focusing on Iowa. It's pure and utter BS of the highest degree. They were fully invested in Iowa; cash, staff, offices, thousands and thousands of drivers, and so on. People have to remember that Clinton was the frontrunner in Iowa throughout the campaign and even as late as the middle of October in the DMR poll. Obama simply turned the gas on and his supporters did the rest.

How can one be a gay republican? serious question?Gay republican here. Arizona primaries are next month. Not sure who I'm going to vote for yet.
Guy said:I don't think 10 000 votes for Paul in reality is that bad, especially like someone here brilliantly expressed with a photoshop a probably very pessimist view of these numbers. Fraud Paul is not the reality. Even if he finished only ahead of a candidate not campaigning at all in Iowa busy in other states, doesn't mean that he screwed everything up completely.
Yes, on Ron Paul's official website we saw written on the banner cumulating the funds before they changed it this: 12 millions to win in Iowa, New Hampshire etc. They were assuring people of victory in exchange of a certain amount of money. Paul's supporters not only beat this target but raised it to almost 20 millions. Still, he lost.
But when you look at the number, he's only 3000 votes or so behind Maccain and Thompson, both considered serious candidates since the beginning of the campaign. The fact that he almost reached these guys in such a small amount of time (November 5th to January Third) looks impressive to me.
There's a certain wave going on I think, especially when you look at the number of new donors at the second money bomb. But Paul's supporters needed probably another month to let it grow bigger. They lacked time, and money can't buy that. I don't think he'll do better Tuesday, that's too bad. The so call revolution started too late.
maybe absinthe just really likes hockey and is upset that the politicians don't support putting the biscuit in the basket (except huckabee who supports putting hte biscuit in his mouth lolz) or the right wing lock like they used to.Enron said:Seriously, what in the FUCKING HELL are you talking about?
I hate it when retards get sand in their privates and cry "oh, no, conservatives/liberals in charge oh im moving to Canada" like the US is all of a sudden a fucking 3rd world country. Stop being such a drama queen. Your daily life will be 0% different, no matter who is in office.
