Someone put Mike Huckabee's head in place of the lizard.

If Huckabee gets the nominee, it will be the hawk's worst nightmare, and Fox News will go BERSERK if he has to face Clinton or Obama.

He will face either of those two.

Hannity will be UNBEARABLE.

CNN projects Huckabee to win the GOP side, while it is a 3 way virtual deadheat on the democratic side...

Tonight is not dissapointing!!

Why the complete certainty that Huckabee will crash and burn in the presidential election?

Edit: and why doesn't FOX like him?

Yeah I wish I had cable just to watch Fox News for the rest of the year :lol

Will we have their reaction online? I want to see what they have to say :lol

Fox News really seems to hate Huckabee . . . and didn't Murdoch have a fund raiser for Hillary? Is it possible that Fox could support Hillary if it is her against Huckabee? :lol

If Huckabee gets the nod tonight, Fox News will be wall-to-wall "Iowa is meaningless" coverage for the foreseeable future.
They already did that before the numbers even started up. I managed to catch about two minutes of O'Reilly, and he pretty much opened up with "Iowa is meaningless, NH means more!"

Because whoever put Bush and Cheney in power will never be able to have it their way with that guy. Romney or Giuliani would have been their choice. On the Dem's side, it would be Clinton, followed by Obama.

They already do. I was watching O'Reilly earlier and all he did was scream about how it was meaningless whenever a guest acted like it could mean anything.

Obama *should* keep building his lead since the urban precincts are coming in last and those are his strongest... wow!

To be fair Papa Bear has been running that same schtick for ages, well before Huckabee was viable.

It's not really spin .. Iowa IS meaningless. New Hampshire and SC hold much more weight in the big scheme of things.

Someone explain to me this Huckabee hate?

He's your typical evangelical and he is now the front runner.

holyshit, any democrat combination between the elite three would absolutely rape a huckabee/insert ticket. :lol

The turn out for the dems is unprecedented. o_O

Baptist Minister. That's what. GAF <3's religion.

But seriously, he does suck. He's the worst republican candidate not named Ron Paul.

Huckabee is a social conservative but has some economic populist leanings . . . the corporatist side of the GOP (Fox News) hates him because of that.

What the hell at that projection? The MSNBC stream is the only one I seem to be able to watch here in the UK, and I can't believe they waited for exactly the hour before releasing the "breaking news". Just not used to that over here.

To be honest I'm really curious about the Ron Paul internet effect (not as a fan of him, but as a fan of the internet).

Only 25% of Republican precincts are reporting and they're calling it already... it drives me nuts when they do this

It's not hate. It's rationality. Huckabee is very religious, has strong personal opinions. Romney was an OBVIOUS puppet, ready to change his coat at any signal over anything. Giuliani was basically saying "do me! do me! I will do anything for the presidency! war war war har har har!". Clinton is where she is because she bends over for everyone with money or the political support, and she's rather hawkish. Obama has been on more or less the same line as Hilary, calling her out only when she was vague about issues, but in the end both are the same except he has less "experience" (as in: knowing who to listen to).

You gotta admit Huckabee is pretty slick. 1st the "negative attack ad I am not gonna run but you guys play it all week on the news" then the appearance on the return of Leno.

Meanwhile Romney is out 20 mil with egg on his face :lol

i gotta say, Democrats should be pretty happy about that Huck win
Are you sure about that?

Who carried George W. Bush to victory in two elections? Evangelicals. Take them out of the picture and Democrats probably win in 2000 and 2004 half awake.

Who does Huckabee attract? Evangelicals. Romney or even McCain would probably make evangelicals feel divided and that would put Democrats at a serious advantage. Huckabee looks to be the guy who won't let evangelicals down when just a couple months ago, they figured Rudy was the likely nominee, and not too happy about it.

The first step to a brokered GOP convention has been taken today, and I for one am ecstatic about it. The weaker they look the easier it's going to be for whichever shitty candidate the dems trot out to win and prevent any more retards in the vein of Scalito getting appointed to the Supreme Court

So if Ron Paul pulls in 3rd place with 15% .. would that be significant? I'm not really paying attention.
yes. again, these caucuses is the american idol cast off show for the presidency. If your in third place, you can likely become the vice president because you show poise in those states.

With Huckabee as President bring on the concentration camps for anyone that's not white and christian.

*Yes, I like my concentration camp claims.

No . . . it was a combination of evangelicals and corporatists. Huckabee may be too evangelical and he has economic populist leanings such that many corporatists will take the centrist Hillary over Huckabee.

Unless you're Ron Paul. Nobody on the right is gonna want him as his VP.

Go Huck or Mitt!! As a liberal, I hope one of these two eventually gets the gop nod, as the US will NEVER elect a baptist minister or a mormon for president!

As someone who wants a Democrat in the white house in 2008, I am elated at the news that Huckabee is doing well.
