Maybe if it was Bill Clinton. I can't think of anyone more hated in the South than Hilary.
you think hilary and bill don't know that? not only are they from the south, but bill will be all over the south campaigning. :/

Obama really seems to be steamrolling now. A big win stand will put him in a much better position for the other states than a close win right?

Possibly, but not necessarily.
Bill Clinton lost Iowa and New Hampshire and then crushed the South in'92.
Anything can happen.

EDIT: meant to quote Speculawyer's post :lol

This is why if I were an American, I would be a Democrat I'd still vote for Hillary just on viability. She'd likely win Ohio and the Virginia's thus taking the election.

However with Huckabee winning, the viability for any Democrat must be skyrocketing!

But looking at it from the outside, there's almost no difference between Hillary and Obama. They're both being funded by the same gravy train. Edwards is clearly a no hoper, had a shout in 2004, history of failure.

Uhhh, what???

*Pssst* Over here. I got the inside scoop..... Obama is black. Oh, and Hilary is a woman, believe it or not. That would make Edwards the leading white male on the Dem side. As far as I know white males are running at about a 100% rate of being elected president in this country.

Honestly, I think that it would be high time for the proper states full of real human beings to cut themselves lose from the evangelical ones if someone like Huckabee were elected. The alternative would be, essentially, a concession that one cannot lead the USA unless they are a religious fanatic. That's not credible, that's not healthy.

Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo.

At least I'll only have to move one state north. Peace out Virginia!

Is Edwards the most electable "leading" democrat?
In the sense that he's a white, affable, Southern man? Sure.

That said, a black man just won a 95% white state, so who knows.

Yeah, because an Iowa senator was running that year and dominated the vote in his state.

Clinton also got second in New Hampshire, so it's not like he was coming from the bottom of the list.

Does anyone have the exact dates of each caucus for each state? I know New Hampshire and South Carolina are coming up soon, but I honestly don't know when any of the other states are holding them.
January 3—Iowa Caucus
January 5—Republican Wyoming caucus
January 8—New Hampshire Primary
January 15—Michigan Primary (allowed on appeal[3])
January 19—Nevada Caucus / Republican South Carolina Primary
January 26—Democratic South Carolina Primary
January 29—Florida Primary
February 2―Maine caucus
February 5―Super Duper Tuesday: Primaries/caucuses for both parties in 19 states, plus three Democratic-only caucuses and one Republican-only primary

Not a snowball's chance in hell. I live in Virginia. The idiots loathe Hilary here. And there are boatloads of idiots here.

The funny thing is, it would actually be better for the long term safety and prosperity of the USA & the entire world than such a powerful nation remaining as a whole perenially under the fist of destructive evangelicals.

Is this win enough for Obama to catch Hillary in NH though? Oh man this is gonna get interesting. Earlier today Obama aids said that if he won tonight, they'd expect Hillary to bring out the knives at the upcoming debate. I can't wait

And the Gennifer Flowers scandal broke during New Hampshire.
Like I said, anything can happen.

Iowa is one of the whitest states in the nation with 95% being white. Obama rates about 57 percent of change. :/

the south might just go to the GOP, But not as much as it went for bush.

Virginia's filled with conservatives. The Hilary hate is to be expected.

Damn, I'm so interested in this election now, I can't wait until February 5th.

Just don't blow it America, even though you probably will, again.

Gotta love Howard Dean: "The REPs can't handle the economy."

*Looks at 52 straight months of job growth*

housing market collapse, economic recession, dollar in doldrums, yes alot of growth

Obama has a better chance in the South than Hilary does. Racist morons would vote for a black man before they would vote for Hilary. And they could potentially motivate the large black population to vote.

So Iowa is important in the race? This makes complete sense, considering Iowa's enormous size and population.

It's a bunch of pig farmers. No wonder they support Hickeybeez.

we'll see if this works

Yeah, moment of stupidity :lol

No worries. I live in downtown Richmond, which of course, always votes liberal. Drive 20 minutes in any direction, and it's red as far as the eye can see. Sometimes it feels like North/South Virginia, if you know what I mean.

There hasn't been a housing market collapse, we are not in a recession (there is worries of a recession, but we are not in one) and the dollar devaluation has helped our GDP growth.

Actually, I thought he was just making a crack about that. I know people that make it a point to say they're from "Northern" Virginia because of the social divide.
