My dentist pushes Electric Toothbrushes as well. Although he doesn't sell them. They also pushed whitening on me once while I was getting a filling "now we're going to need to do the whitening first because that will change the tint of the filling".

Honestly though, If you haven't been to the dentist in years $500 to get your teeth back up to snuff isn't that pricy. One regular checkup is what $150?

Xrays are legally yours to obtain a copy...they may charge you for a copy though

Not in their world I suppose. They said they do not allow them to be kept from the free first visit.
