Is it possible to play DA: Inquisition after Witcher 3

They added "trials" which tweak some of the gameplay settings for a harder challenge or risks/rewards essentially
They completely overhauled how the Knight Enchanter works too. If you try spamming spirit sword you're going to do extremely minor damage.

Haha, yeah that was a little bit silly. Turned Dragons into easy mode

I would have to say the thing that grated on me the most was the tactics overhaul. Felt like I no longer had great control of my party. Even DA2 had better party mechanics and that's saying something

Sounds promising. What about it changed?

In addition to the trials mentioned, they reworked the way a lot of the vanilla abilities and upgrades worked to make the suckier ones more viable (Caltrops is a beastly ability now under the right circumstances, for example) and they added a second upgrade slot to every ability in the game, many of them completely changing how the ability worked. Ice Wall, for example, got a second upgrade that changes it into a ring of Ice that you can use to imprison an enemy. Evade becomes a short-range teleport, and so on and so on. You can either decide to get only one upgrade, or get both and toggle between them depending on the situation. It adds quite a bit of depth to progression and build variety.
