It's a little late for a Prime 3 demo. How early did we get the Echoes demo disk? It was at least a month if I recall. Man, that was great.

After the game releases. I would call that too late.Amir0x said:it's never too late for a demo, baby![]()
rhino4evr said:Nintendo rarely releases demos. The only two I can think of are Prime 2 and Wind Waker.

Yeah. Nintendo should jump on that stat. A demo of BWii and Endless Ocean might help stir up some enthusiasm (as would a damn Prime 3 demo).Amir0x said:that does not make it right!

Sharp said:Hi everyone! This is Sharp, reminding you that it's never too early to make sure you have 800 Wii points for the August twentieth-ton! You certainly don't want to be caught empty-handed on Super Metroid Day! Just trundle down to any gaming accessory store near you and purchase a Wii Points Card of any denomination (they're all at least $10, right?), orrrrrr use a credit card if you're feeling gutsy!
FUCK YEAH

But yeah, they are dumb not to do the updates that way.

Well you don't need one if you don't want one. You also don't need to see the screen while you're playing.rhino4evr said:Will I need the Classic Controller to play Super Metroid? If so It's going to cost me $28 instead of $8. I guess I could always use the gamecube controller (gulp) instead.
Just imagine--Super Metroid on TWO televisions at once! It'd be like a Christmas miracle in August!Xeke said:What if I just play the game on my SNES that is already hooked up tonight?
ant1532 said::lol the demo channel should be a flash site with just flash games based on the actual games. That would be some funny shit.

Super Metroid is still a bargain at $28.

Also, the battery won't die on your Wii version + 480p (people seem to like it).

Well... hm. I guess just buy it because it's Super Metroid and it's awesome and it's fairly cheap and sends a powerful message to Nintendo?Xeke said:The Battery wont die on my cart either if I play it often enough. And I get to use my favorite game controller of all time. And I don't have 480p on my Wii. No real room or need for one in my dorm.

Whoa. A flash-based remake of Super? If compatible with the CC I may never need another game again.Amir0x said:actually if they had a flash game of Super Metroid, people might never even bother buying Metroid Prime III.

Indeed!rhino4evr said:The message: We will keep rebuying 2D Metroid games over and over and over and over. Looking forward to the DS Super Metroid Remake with a map on the second screen added for good measure.
It doesn't exist, and I'm not sure it could exist as a faithful port given Flash's technical limitations. But Flash developers have surprised me in the past.evilromero said:Whoa. A flash-based remake of Super? If compatible with the CC I may never need another game again.

Personally I don't see the correlation between those two things but in case someone else does you might want to change that?Windu said:stuff

btw, Wind Waker had a demo? when? i only remember Echoes and that 4 in 1 disc with Sonic, Billy Hatcher and some other stuff.

Dragona Akehi said:It's just a silly flash site. You even have to buffer the damn videos. That's sad.
Nah, not even then. Since I'm not getting it until it hits $20 anyway, I'd rather have a demo than not.ant1532 said:After the game releases. I would call that too late.
besada said:Yeah, I was -- well, disappointed isn't the right word, because that implies surprise and it's hard to be surprised at the amount of internet-based fail Nintendo is slinging these days -- let's say less than happy. Not only did it have to buffer, but the video was in a little box in the middle of the screen and looked like ass.

I'm a happy camper.
Haha. I never thought it did exist. You misunderstood me.Sharp said:Indeed!

Wait, were you being sarcastic?evilromero said:Haha. I never thought it did exist. You misunderstood me.
Actually the best solution IMO would've been to use the streaming version for the channel (for instant gratification) but at the end of the video, include some text saying that the video can be downloaded at metroid.com. This way those who want a higher quality version can go and get one without having to sacrifice rather precious Wii flash memory space.TheGreatDave said:Wait, people would rather download a video than wait 5 seconds for it to buffer? The video quality was great for me. Were you on sn LCD?
